Epilogue

Five years later
The bustling city of New York. The city is never quiet, it's always awake. Even in the darkest hours. It doesn't shut its eyes. Not even for a moment.
On the outskirts of the city, there's the suburbs. It's filled with town houses and parks. Child at play. Old couples live there, and have lived there since retirement. It's a very family friendly neighborhood.
Jimin woke up at two am to an empty bed. The ballarino looks around to find his fiancé. But he's no where in sight. The bed room is spacious and new. They've only lived in it for a month. Most of the rooms are still being moved into. But the young couple has a hard time finding the time.
Jimin throws the blanket off of him. He rubs his eyes and stumbles down the hall, to the smaller bedroom. He opens it and sees his favorite sight. The small room has a small crib in the corner. Various toys are scattered throughout the room. Next to the window is a rocking chair. There it's the love of his life holding his daughter.
Jimin quietly walks up to the two. It seems like the little girl was just put to sleep finally. Jimin rubs his shoulder. "Duty calls?"
Yoongi les out a dry laugh. "Yeah, she's teething again."
Jimin kisses his head. "Well, I think she's down for now. Why don't you join me in bed. We have work tomorrow."
Yoongi nods. He stands up and places the year old into her crib. "Let's go. You are going to be tired." He kisses Juniper's head one last time before they exit her room.
They adopted her two months ago. They were lucky enough to know a girl from Yoongi's college they could take care of her new born, and she gladly left her daughter in the loving arms of the couple that couldn't have their own. They weren't sure if they were ready, but they realized that after all they've been through that they could face anything together.
They lay in bed together. Jimin's head rests on Yoongi's chest. His fingers trace the tattoo on Yoongi's broad chest. It's a small, but significant tattoo. My Promise. In Jimin's handwriting. Jimin has a similar one on his chest. His reads My Spring Day in Yoongi's sloppy handwriting. But Jimin loves it so much.
"I was thinking-"
"That's new."
"Hush, Hyung," Jimin pouts. "I graduated a year early, you were a year late. So don't even come at me."
"Well, I'm so smart that I knew that I'd be missing out on a lot if I didn't. I did it for us," Yoongi mumbles, bullshitting his way through."
"Anyways, we should buy neon signs that say things. I think it'd be cute," Jimin mumbles.
"It would be. But I'm tired, and I know you are a few seconds from falling asleep. Let's just talk in the morning," Yoongi says. His hand playing with Jimin's natural black hair. And it's all it takes for them to fall asleep.
Their dream came true. Jimin danced in broadway for a few years. Now he's settled for being a dance teacher for younger kids. Yoongi composes music. He's signed to a growing label, but he doesn't have to do much for it. His side job is composing songs for Jimin's recitals. They work side by side on most days. And people would say it's unhealthy to be with your lover so much. But they both could never get tired of each other.
Yes, they've had rough patches.
During college, they would go days without talking to each other. Months without seeing each other. School was so much pressure for the both of them. And they both hated the thought of the other not loving them. But their reunions were truly a masterpiece.
Then when they were done with college. They had to choose either to live in New York, or to live in their hometown. Yoongi wanted to stay with his family, but Jimin couldn't leave his job. Their friends, and Yoongi's aunt, practically drug Yoongi to New York to live after he got an offer from the music company. They want him to pursue his dreams, he deserved it. In the end, Yoongi's Aunt moved to New York to live in the countryside. Jungkook and Namjoon moves to California. Taehyung and Hoseok stayed in their hometown, since neither of them wanted to leave. Seokjin lives in New York City and works as a surgeon.
Of course, Jimin's parents split up. He wasn't bothered by it since he knows they are both now happier with their new spouses. Jimin and Yoongi try to visit them often so they don't feel guilty for ignoring him during their divorce. And of course they visit Yoongi's parents' grave. Yoongi forgets them sometimes, but he gained a tattoo of the date they passed away on his wrist. On his other wrist is Juniper's initials. J.S.P for Juniper Sky Park.
Yoongi stays up a while longer. He wants to remember the little things with Jimin. Jimin is his first love. They bring out the best in each other. They've promised themselves to each other. A promising future. Of course, Yoongi wants more children. Jimin thinks two would be enough. The two have all the love to share. No matter who enters their life, they will fit in.
"I'm so glad I have you, Minnie," Yoongi says. He hugs Jimin closer to his chest. "I was so dumb to not move to New York the first time you asked. I love you more than I ever had anyone. My little Angel from above. My sun. I will never leave you. I'll never hurt you. I promise that as long as you are with me, I will always be happy and filled with love. Our wedding isn't for another six months. But I know we are mentally married, soulmates. There's no taking me away from you. And I don't care what you say, we will have a total of six kids. They will all be tiny and perfect like you. I never knew I could fall in love with you more until I saw you with June for the first time. She will surly be jealous of her new sibling, but we have plenty of love for all of them. And if we need a weekend off, we can send them to Jin's. Why else do you think he lives so close?"
Jimin moves slightly. The younger doesn't hear him since he's sleeping. But Yoongi knows Jimin knows. They are soulmates. Meant to be together. Brought together by their friends and their differences. Even though they have everything in common.
"I love you."
