"Let's go Angels! Let's go!" I heard from the cheer squad. I was sitting next to Alex on the bleachers, watching the boys practice. The game was starting in about 45 minutes, but Alex was already cheering the team on. I would say that she was doing a better job than the people who signed up. I smiled and sighed, getting up to stretch.

"Where you going?" Alex asked. I looked at her and adjusted my jacket.

"I'm going to go grab a bite to eat and look for Danny Boi. Want anything?" She softly shook her head no as she focused on her cell phone. I made my way across the bleachers towards the stairs to go down and get me a snack.

I'm actually really psyched about this game tonight. Just the atmosphere of the whole thing gets me excited. Daniel gets this feeling all the time, but somehow I feel it's different this time. I understand why, but I wish he could see the bright side of things. He can win this game and teach those assholes not to mess with Daniel Dach. But, I somehow don't see it happening. I have a bad feeling set in the put of my stomach.

As I'm near the food truck ready to get me a stuffed burrito with guac, someone bumps into me making me drop my phone. "Oh no!" They exclaim frantically. "I'm so sorry!"

I pick up the device to check and make sure it was okay. "No worries! I wasn't paying attention anyway and it doesn't have a scratch on it." I look at them and smile. I can't help but take in their features as I do so.

The guy has wire frame glasses that oddly suit him, black short hair and freckles. He's about my height, maybe taller since I'm a short stick ;-;. But nonetheless, he sighs with relief and fidgets with the beanie that's in his hands. "I'm actually looking for someone that I need to talk to. Could you help me by chance?" He asked, warily. I smiled again and nodded.

"Of course! Who is it that you are looking for?" I complied politely.

"His name is Daniel. I'm not too sure where he is but I want to catch him before the game starts." My heart stops for a second, and I don't know why but I ignore it.

"Daniel Dach?" I question only to receive an eager nod.

"Do you know him?" He asks. I nod and look around. A part of me is telling me not to help him, plus the game is starting in 25 minutes.

"I do know him, but I'm not sure where he is. I'll keep my eye out though." I said warmly with a smile. He bought the half lie and looked a little disappointed.

"That's okay. Thank you for helping. If you do find him, can you please let me know? I'll be sitting on the right side of the bleachers." He asked. I nodded and smiled again, although the butterflies in my stomach were going absolutely nuts. "My name is Elson by the way. I'll see you around." And with that, he jogged back to the bleachers.

"Sir, are you gonna order something or just stand there?" I heard from behind me, pulling me out of my slight state of shock.

"Oh, yeah! Sorry! Can I have a uh..."

~~~
I come back to the bleachers to find Daniel sitting there, talking to Alex. I sit down next to him roughly, bumping into him. "Hi there." I blurt out as I take a bite of my burrito. He turns and looks at me with a giant ass smile. Then he looks at my burrito.
"You know that's cannibalism, right?" He says, eyeing my burrito suspiciously. I look from it to him a couple times, then I smack his shoulder.
"I'm not a shrimp you green giant!" I pout, which he only laughs at my reaction like always.
"You know our school colors are blue and champagne. Not green. Never green."
I glare at him and opened my mouth to say something snarky, when I hear footsteps approach us. I look over to see the guy from before. Daniel notices and follows my gaze.
"Daniel? Hi, uh, can I talk to you for a moment?" Elson states nervously eyeing Alex and I, who were sitting on either side of Daniel. Daniel gulped inaudibly and looked at Elson.
"Go ahead." Daniel said sternly. Elson eyed us again, and then sighed.
"I want to tell you I'm sorry. For... you know." He started off. "I wanted to tell you that I was in the wrong, and that... maybe you'd forgive me. And maybe... give me a second chance. I'm sorry I couldn't keep my promise last time, but I can make it up to you." He looked away with his head down, a small blush covering his cheeks. I looked over at Daniel slightly to see a slight twisted uncomfortable expression on his features.
"I'll forgive you... but I won't give you a second chance." Daniel said flatly. "I've moved on."
"Do you mind me asking, with who?" Elson pushed. "I... I'm sorry but, I need some sort of closure." I could feel Daniel tense up. He didn't know how to reply and time was running out.
"With me." I blurted, without a thought. Everyone looked at me with either a gaze of shock or 'oh shit plot twist.'
Daniel wrapped his arm around me and pulled me close, and went along with it. "Yeah. Elson, this is my boyfriend Caleb. You can find someone better." Daniel said softly. Elson looked heartbroken, but nodded.
"I'm sorry for bothering you." He said as he scurried away to the opposing schools side of the bleachers.
When he was gone, Daniel stood up and snatched my burrito away and took a fat bite out of it.
"Hey!" I cried. He handed it back to me, and I frowned at how much was left. Suddenly, my beanie was pulled over my eyes and I felt a soft pair of lips plant a kiss on my cheek. When I managed to unblock my vision, Daniel was already jumping the fence to go on the field. "Good luck!" I shouted.
I felt Alex's gaze on me. I looked over at her to see a wide shocked smile grinning back at me. I took a nervous bite of the rest of my burrito with my eyes still locked on her. "Ih wah a haf ie." (it was a half lie) I mouthed to her. Her smile just got wider as she scooted closer to me and wrapped her arm around me in a proud manner.
I sighed contently. I was so ready for this game, but I can't help but have this bad feeling in my stomach. I pushed it off though, getting ready to stand for Annabel Lènor to sing the anthem.
