When I came to, I immediately screamed. The pain sliced threw my skin and it was like someone was burning it. The bite Aaron had given me hurt even more now and wouldn't stop pulsing like it was my heart. Noellen and the others quickly barged through the door.

"Percy!" All of them called. I bent over and bit my lips, trying not to whimper. I gave up all to easily and was huffing and puffing. Noellen came over and took my pained arm while Valorie gently patted my back. "Wh-Where's Aaron?" I wheezed out. It was silent for a few minutes before anyone decided to answer me.

"He's gone...." Noellen said. "His servants are gone too..." Lewis added. My other uninjured arm clutched the covers of the bed. "W-We need to...Ugh..." I couldn't speak more than a few words at a time. Noellen carried me in his arms and urged everyone else to follow. "If you're going to save Aaron, there's only one way to do it..."

~Later~

"You have to contact your father if you want to save Aaron...And considering our situation, I wouldn't hesitate to try calling on him..."

That was what Noellen had said, but how was I suppose to just talk to my dad? Every time we were in communication, it was him that sent the whole dream-communication thingy. I sighed and sat looking at my reflection in the river water.

I looked awful, my hair was all tangly, my face was so pale that you could see the blue veins, and purplish bruises crowded my chest. I sighed again and instantly yelped as the pain disapproved of my actions.

Inhaling and exhaling, I tried something that could or wouldn't work. "Father...If you're out there...Ummm well....I need to um talk to you....If you're umm listening...Could you umm, give some reply?..." I asked while looking into the water. Apparently this was the way to knowing whether you were completely insane or sane. Nothing. Not a single thing happened. No strong wind blowing, fish jumping out of the water, no branch falling, twig breaking, nothing.

Okay~ I moved into a more sincere position and immediately winced at the pain. I put a hand on my arm that was immobile or what felt like it was and scooted closer to the edge of the riverbank. The gang was a few yards back inside the woods, giving me privacy.

"Well, let's try this again." I told myself while the pain grew. "Okay umm...Well what do I need to say? I don't know... Do I have to bow to you or something? Do I need to...I don't know, draw blood and draw a complicated circle to summon you?....." ......Well, that was working well, wasn't it?

"Please..." My voice croaked and water trickled down my face. "Please Dad....Talk to me....I had no one...No one to teach me these things...I knew nothing...Not a single thing....But him...." My slowly rubbed the sides of my arm and shivered. "I was left...In an unknown world that I wasn't supposed to be in....Please....Daddy...Please talk to me..." I gasped and bent over with my arms crossed. I cried out at the pain that ate at my heart. Each time I talked, I felt like someone was slowly pressing a needle into the raw flesh of my heart.

It was true, I wasn't meant to be in this world. Left in the cold to some unknown family that for all my life, I'd been calling family. What would you feel like, if you found out that the people you'd been calling family weren't your real ones and your real ones actually show up? What expression would you have? How would you react?....

I sniffed and rubbed my arms again. It was cold and I only wore a light nightgown. I clenched the dirt next to me as one of my hand clutched at my heart as another attack came. "Daddy.....Please...I beg...Of you....." When no answer came like before, I clenched the dirt in front of me. "Fine..." I said quietly.

"Fine!" I said louder. "I admit! I confess! I lose! I am weak! I am powerless! I am nothing-" Blood spurted from my mouth and dribbled down my chin. "You win..." I said quietly. "You win, Father!" An attack came and I fell on my back, holding a hand to my heart. "I am.....Alone...Dammit..." I gagged blood again as I turned to my side and retched more, creating a puddle of red. The last of my words that I could afford to say.
