Ch20: Rise Of The Phoenix Queen

My legs grow weak and are unable to hold me up. I crumble to the ground. "V-Va-Vampire?" I test out the word like I've never heard of it before. He nods. "Yes..I know it's a bit surprising. But, you can either choose to stay scared and not listen to the reason why I got these scratches or you can either answer with a nod or something and find out the reason behind all this." He offers.

I'm quite shocked really but I nod. "Good. Okay now. As I did a spell to take me to the other dimension, I met someone before I teleported. I can't really tell you the details, but I didn't get hurt. When I was in the Underworld, I visited my Father and Mother. They guard the Lord's slumber chamber. Only high authority is allowed to visit the Lord. Like I said, I'm an exception. Anyways, after I visited them, I went to return my Mother's bracelet." He looks up at the Moons.

"Seems like my Mother put a security spell around the perimeter of her safe keep, that's where the difficulties came. These guards are just made out of fire. Anyone who wasn't my Mother, they eliminated them. I'm lucky to even have gotten out of there alive. I returned the bracelet and escaped, but I met him again. Like I said, I can't really give you the details of who he was or how he looked like. Because, he was banished, I can no longer speak of him in the Underworld. And I'm also choosing not to say anything about him here either, unless there comes a time when I really need to." Aaron explains. There's heavy regret of emotions in his voice, and his face strickens as he speaks of this person without name.

"But....I've also kept somehing from you too, another thing.....I've got a younger brother. But that's as far  as I'll go on this brother subject, so no questions about who my brother is, okay?" He asks me. I nod.

"And so after I returned from the Underworld, I came straight here. It was still nighttime and you were sleeping. When I came in, that's when you started the whole name calling thing." He tells me. I blush but it soon goes away.

We're both silent, Aaron's waiting for me to say something but I'm still shocked. When I finally speak, it's about a totally different subject. "A-Aaron...." "Yes?" He turns towards me. "Lately...I've been having weird...Weird feelings...." I tell him.

"Weird feelings how?" He leans closer towards me. "Remember earlier today, this morning where I swayed back and forth?" He nods.

"Well, when you touched me....I saw black spots all over your body....Also that time too with that fire behemoth..But it didn't happen when I touched Mandy." I told him everything that happened from the time he left me this morning to the time I danced the ritual.

He nods here and there. When I finish, he says "Your powers are showing. Their awakening as you yourself start to rise and claim the throne." He's bends down and comes to eye level with me.

"I don't get what you mean." I tell him. "The phoenix. It's awakening in you. Your powers are awakening each day you get closer to finishing the ritual. When you finish it, it's called the Rise Of The Phoenix Queen. We're one step closer to saving the world!" He takes my hand and tells me to rest assure.

"But, what kind of power did I use this morning?" I'm still asking about earlier. "That power, is one that is very common in the Underworld. It's called Eye of Demon." He says. I panic. "What?! So does that mean I have a demon eye?" I touch the lid of my eyes. "No silly. It just means that you can see a demon or creature when you touch them. Like me, I touched you right? Well, you saw black spots right? It means you saw a demon or some dangerous creature or such."
