Ch15: Continuing The Ritual; Day 2

The information will be after the chapter. Also don't panic about missing a chapter when this chapter says Day 2. Day 1 was when the Reavelement took place.

I close the door of Rosa's chamber and head on over into her bed quarters. I don't see her anywhere, but the brown door is open. I get the gist that she's in there so I enter.

"Rosa?" She's looking up at the portrait of Sarah. She turns around, hearing her name. She smiles warmly and beckons me over. I slowly walk towards her.

"What did you want to talk to me about, after the ball?" It was the day after the ball. Morning it was when Rosa summoned me.

Rosa gestures for me to sit down. Then she walks over to a drawer that I didn't notice before. She takes out a brown slick wooden box, a rose in the middle. "Here. Open it." Rosa hands me the small jewelry box and urges me to open it.

I nod and slowly remove the lid. Inside the box is a orangey red circle pendant. I hold it up so Rosa can see. "What does it mean?" I ask, still inspecting the necklace. Rosa takes my hand with the pendant and cups my hands together with the pendant in the middle. "It's the symbol of the Sun." Rosa answers.

"The Sun? How does the Sun look like?" I ask, curious because I've never seen it before.

"It was a fireball engulfed in ember flames. It was beautiful, but you didn't want to look at it too long or you would go blind." Rosa chuckles as if she's done it herself.

"Am I to keep it?" I ask.

"Yes, keep it child. It is your seal, it brings you authority." Rosa takes the box and returns it to the drawer. Rosa comes back and helps fix the pendant on me.

"This pendant has a name." Rosa says while she clips the lock into place. "It's name is Amber. Short for the Age of Amber." Rosa smiles once she get's a good look at the accesory around my neck.

"Good. Now you look more brave, bold, courageous, and inspiring. Fearless indeed. All the more beautiful." Rosa comments.

I nod then ask, "This ritual thing....How long does it last?" Rosa takes a seat.

"It depends. If you get it right and you don't stall, 7 days least. If you waver and are unsure, days, months, years it could take. That's why you can't miss your first shot. The ritual has started, therefore, for the next 6 days, the Moon will be full. In the meantime, you will perform under the Moon. Each night, until the 6 days end, you must dance to the music that will be presented to you by God's will."

I shift uncomfortably in my seat. "Don't worry. Do the same thing you did during the ball. Flow with the music." Rosa advises. I nod, still nervous about tonight and the 5 other nights.

Rosa puts a hand on my shoulder and smiles brightly. I feel less nervous but that doesn't wash it all away. "Tonight, meet me here, I need you to do something first." Rosa said. I nod and take one more look at the pendant.

After breakfast with the royals, plus Lily, I take a carriage to downtown. From there, I walk to the beach, the gang's and mine's promised place from the ball. We all agreed to meet eachother here today. I was the first one there.

I sat on the sand and looked out to the sea. Then there was a tap on my shoulder. I looked up to see who it was. "Noellen!" I exclaim. He nods and sits beside of me. "Where are the others?" I ask, cuddling my knees."We split up to tend our own business. Aaron's getting provsions. Tia's with him and Lewis and Valorie are touring the sites. I had nothing to do so I came here before the others." He answers plainly. I smile a bit and then resume looking out to the ocean.
