So sorry for the late late updates! Enjoy!
----------"Isn't there any other way we could have done this?" Lewis whines as we come into the clearing from the forest. In order to pass through the gates of the City Of The Contaminated, Aaron and Noellen suggested that we disguise ourselves with the smells of a demon and dress with raggedy cowls and clothes like poor people. No one knows how Aaron and Noellen managed to disguise us with the smell, but it didn't matter, because we got through gates undetected.
The gates were large, about 50 feet hovering. Rusty metal chipped off and some jagged broken bars stood ajar in the gates. The city loomed higher than the gates, but less great. Some buildings were chipped off, some completely. But worse of all, there were wierd shaped creatures lurking about in broad daylight.
"I know what you must be thinking. They're not just creatures. They're demons. " Aaron whispered in my ears. I shiver at the thought of one just walking up to us. I shake it off and say "But you'll protect me right?" I joke. He pauses like he's hesitating on what to say but, he responds back. "You sure as can believe I will." I laugh a little at this.
"So, where's the well?" I ask. "We can't directly approach it. It's too dangerous." Aaron replied. He and Noellen were the only ones that weren't wearing a disguise.
~Two Days Ago~
"So tell us again why we have to disguise?" Lewis asked, picking a rag from a pile of more rags. "Lewis hon, can you please just stop talking for one second?" Valorie asked, annoyed. "Yes, Lewis hon, can you just shut up for 1 second?" I chimed, jokingly.
"Okay okay enough. Noellen, look after them, I'll be back." Aaron said. We did not know where Aaron was going, only but Noellen. Wherever he went, he didn't come back until midnight or later. But when he came back, he smelled of rotting blood and a blood lust filled his eyes.
I was awake then. I kept it a secret. I watched from afar, still laying down. He had a small bottle in his hand. He poured it onto the ragged clothes and a smell ubearablely horrible rose into the air. I amost didn't make it without coughing and being caught.
Then he left the rags to soak while he soaked himself in the river beside our camp. I squealed to close my eyes as I accidentally too late to close my eyes, see him remove his shirt and strip. I hadn't really seen any of his bare skin, but I could see his movements and know enough which piece of clotesh he was stripping off. It didn't look like he had noticed anything, but that was how I fell asleep, with the memory of him stripping.
~Recent Day~
I blushed as the flashback came running back into my mind. "Why are you blushing Percy?" Aaron's voice breaks the flashback and I come back to reality. "Huh? Oh-Oh nothing. L-Let's keep moving." I reply. He nods and leads us on.
"So if we're not directly approaching the well, how are we planning to get to it?" Lewis asked his know-at-all questions. "We're housing here for a couple of days." Noellen replies. "What?! You mean we have to stay in these stinky rags for a couple of more days?!? Lewis whined.
"Shhh~! Don't attract too much attention." Aaron warned us. Lewis shook his head in understanding while the rest of us nodded and proceeded to follow the leader.
After a few more minutes, Aaron led us to a run down house that was by far the best in shape so far that we'd seen. The house itself was not some wooden mud house like mine back at home. Instead, it had modern architecture. The walls were bricks and the roof had black shingles.
The shingled roof was jagged and chipped but they offered shelter and the brick walls were stained with growing moss and some bricks were badly chipped to the point that 50 percent of the brick was gone.
