He managed to find me
And tried to come closely
Like the monster in the alley
Who tried to kill me.
Sinister smiles surrounding
As if I was a meal on a dining.
My sight began to fade
In my eyes, the darkness laid
At first, I knew I was scared
But then I just declared;
I was not ever afraid
For he, the darkness, cared.
Yea, he was concern.
I never had the chance to discern.
T'was the thing I forgot to remember-
The thing I'm afraid to forget rather.
He was my best friend
Even others treat him like a fiend;
He was my comfort
Even others have the opposite retort.
He's always there when I cry-
Everywhere, anytime, so nigh.
