U N S A I T H

TWO SMILES OF HER

I could see reflections of light behind my eyelids.
Then slowly opened up those closed feeds.
There I saw the brightest of all the colors-
Blues on each middles, white round ores
Surrounding those deep blue oceans.
Looking back to mine saying, "Good Morning, My Only Ones."

She asked me coffee with her lips wide extended.
I asked her back; I'll do it for her instead.
She didn't reply, kissed me and took a shower.
I chuckled for a while and thought 'bout my life without her.
I moved toward the kitchen but didn't use the coffee maker,
Instead, I made it myself with a spoon on my hand as the mixer.

Another scenario of our lives begun with simple kicks.
I was touching her enlarging womb and peck a kiss.
She begun to ask me everything she's craving for;
And here I am; looking, seeking, everywhere I soar
Thinking this was for my love and both for my little gal and junior.

It is on its seventh month now
And she's finding it hard to move somehow.
Then, an unexpected fear begun to pump my heart
As my love and my angels were on the cart
Pushed by nurses and doctors toward the emergency
A soliloquy on my psyche, "I couldn't live without my family."

I need to choose between my love and my angels;
She said not to let our angels suffer the perils.
I lost my love but have had my children:
Alive, breathing in exchange of my heaven.

I could see darkness behind and beyond.
Then simply opened my eyes that I'm not fond.
Saw nothing but a closed curtain, so I closed it again.
I saw her, and she looked so insane-
Insanely beautiful as the time I first saw her.
My eyelids rose by itself; saw two angels together,
Bright, with smiles like hers, "Good Morning, Father!"
