Evan POV
*internal squealing!*
I'm so happy! As soon as I got home from Connor's house, I externally squealed on my bed. My mom knocked on my door.
"Come in."
"What's got you so happy? A girl? A boy? You haven't been so squealy since that Jeremy boy."
I remember Jeremy. My kindergarten boyfriend.. and a horse with wings in the class play. "Yeah. A boy."
She walked to my bed and sat next to me. "That's great, honey. I'm so happy you're so happy."
"It hasn't happened in a while."
"I know." She hugged me. "You know what to do if he hurts you.
"I know. Call you and you'll take him to the hospital with you. When you're done with him."
"Good job. What's his name?"
"Connor. You've met him once I think."
"The new kid who dresses in all black and stuff? I've met him twice," she said just slightly less happy. I only know because she broke eye contact and shifted her weight to her other foot.
"Yeah, him," I said, still smiley though. I haven't been this happy since I was five and now I'm almost fifteen!
"Oh okay cool." Then she went off to the grocery.

Jared POV
I sat at our table today and Connor sat on the other side. "How's life, Kleinman."
"I have a name, Murphy."
"I know. I just thought since you call me that, we were on a last name basis." He smirked.
"Whatever." I opened my Spiderman lunchbox. I got it from the little kids lunchbox section, but I like it anyway. Fight me.
Evan came into the cafeteria looking all peachy. I wonder what's got him all peachy.
"Hey Evan," I said, waving.
Connor waved too and said, "Hiii!"
Evan was still standing, trying to loosen one of the straps on his backpack.
"Are you gonna sit? You can sit by me." I patted the seat next to mine.
He took a step, then Connor said, "Or by me."
Evan walked that way, then I said, "Or me. I'm your best friend."
"When did Evan say that?"
"Right now." I poked his arm. "Say it."
"I..?"
Connor also poked his arm. "Here, just sit. Ignore Mr. Kleinman."
"Okay." He sat literally in the middle of us. He's like barely an inch closer to Connor. Connor smirked and hugged Evan.
Oof.

Heeehhh I broke down yesterday and cried nOnStOp for literally one hour and then some. My mom showed seemingly zero sympathy, so that was fun.
