Chapter 13

We headed back to the hotel and found that the family has decided that our room is the place to hangout tonight. The boys stopped by the bar downstairs and requested beer and wine be sent up. Of course, they put it on my room tab. The girls ordered popcorn, ice cream and found a movie to watch.

As much as I love my family, they're really screwing up my plan for tonight. This is not making me a happy camper. I had a plan for a romantic evening alone with Emma. My brothers and our friends are ruining this night. They must think this is really funny. Yeah, it's hysterical. Not!

I swear payback is gonna be a bitch for them when they plan something with a girl and I can kill their plans.

Maddie has wormed her way up into my arms, snuggling up with her head on my shoulder. She's a little devil working her charm on me. The little squirt knows I'm not gonna tell her no. I feel bad for the boys when she gets older. She's gonna be a handful. I think she's going to sleep soon, so I'm holding her tight in one arm, while Emma has Aiden in her arms next to me. He loves Emma, something fierce. I watched him tonight. That kid was making himself look good for her or needing her to kiss a scratch or whatever, just to get her attention. That little boy is starting to monopolize my time with my girl. I think I need to teach him how to share.

When I opened the door to our room thinking it was room service, one by one our friends and family filtered into our room. Tess and Chelsea are in awe of this place. They wander through the living room with Emma, who left Aiden in front of the tv with the boys, so the girls could explore the rest of the rooms. I passed Maddie off to Isabelle since she is quickly crashing. I decided to follow Emma to see her reaction to my surprise for her, as she shows the girls around.

When they got to the master bathroom, I hung behind them, knowing what they're going to find. As I suspect, it's Tess that squeals out when I approach the doorway and lean against the door jam. It was a pleasure watching the girls admire what I had set up for Emma and I. I really wanted to bring her in here alone, but at least she knows I tried.

"Holy Shit! Look at this! Champagne, strawberries, chocolate, and candlelight. That boy is head over heels in love with you, Em." Tess grinned in the mirror at me. She dips her finger along the edge of the bowl and tastes the chocolate. "Oh my God. That's so good."

"Oh, Emma! Blake had this romantic night set up for you guys and we ruined it." Chelsea apologetically glanced my way, knowing that what was planned wouldn't happen now. Taking Tess's arm she gives her a tug. "We should leave so they can enjoy their night."

Making myself known to Emma, I stepped forward running the tip of my fingers down Emma's bare arm. "We'll still have our time, girls. Don't worry about that. Can you two give us a minute though. I need to talk to Em." I ask, looking at Emma in the mirror.

She's so beautiful. I've known plenty of beautiful women but Emma takes the cake. It's not just her physical beauty, and she's a knockout. It's what's inside her that makes her so unforgettable. Her strength, her softness, her humor and her heart. Wrap it all together and she's one amazing package.

"We're sorry, Blake. If we'd known, we would have convinced them to go elsewhere." Chelsea touches my arm trying to apologize. I could only shake my head, she has nothing to apologize for.
