Thank you for reading this book! I've had a great time sharing it with all of you.

Enjoy 😉

Emma

We left not knowing what had happened with our family. Blake wanted it this way. He promised to call and find out as soon as we land but I'm concerned. Too many faces of our family had disappeared before we left. Matt and Chelsea were missing, Tess and Lance with their little one Bri weren't there and Jake. I love that Blake swept me away for a romantic honeymoon just the two of us, but I can't help but wonder what happened. We just arrived on this beautiful island that took my breath away.

"This is your wedding present from me, sweetheart." Blake smiles satisfied from the hours of love making on the plane. "I bought the island a year ago hoping for today. It's private, we have a full staff to wait on us and no one to bother us. This is our escape when the world gets too crazy for us, we get to come here and escape."

"I can't believe you bought an island! This is gorgeous Blake." We walk up the dock and I look out to a white sandy beach and crystal clear blue water. Palm trees and flowering plants everywhere. It's stunning and bit overwhelming. I'm simple and this is very lavish.

"We'll call home and check on everyone when we get to the house. Emma, no matter what's happening there, we're staying here and enjoying this. I know they're family and you're worried, but this is our honeymoon and we aren't leaving." Blake makes a point of telling me. "We have a future to plan, Em. It all starts now."

Matt

I can't believe how badly I fucked things up. I slept on Georgia's front porch last night after Tess and Lance dropped Chelsea off. Tess stayed with her and refused to let me in to see her no matter how much I begged. And I did beg, Tess Georgia, I even yelled up to Chelsea who ignored me. She's the girl I've loved for so long and I screwed it up. I don't know if Chelsea will forgive me or even hear me out, but I'm not leaving until I try.

I knock on the door knowing it's early, but maybe Georgia is up. Georgia opens the door and hands me a cup of coffee as she steps out onto the porch and closes the door behind her. "Morning, honey. You can't come darlin. I promised Chelsea."

I take the hot cup graciously. I need some caffeine right now. Bless Georgia for understanding that. "I need to talk to her, Georgia. I need to explain what happened last night. I was trying to help Blake. I didn't mean to hurt her."

She looks at me sympathetic to my words and motions to the swing. Sitting down she's pats the spot next to her for me to join her. I sit down and wait as Georgia sips her tea and stares out watching the sun rise in the distance. She has something to say to me, I can see her searching for her words. Those wheels in her head are certainly spinning.

"Did you know it took Mike several tries to win me over?" Georgia smiles remembering her past. "He was a looker just like all my boys and he loved his girls. They certainly loved him. But he set his sights on me and in the process made several mistakes before and after we were married."

I know she's thinking about Mike's affair with Chelsea's mom. "Georgia, Mike loves you. You've been through a lot and you've survived it. I know you'll get through this too."

"Oh we will, honey. Don't you worry about us. I'm talking about you and Chelsea right now." Georgia pats my leg and sips more of her tea. "See sometimes you boys make some very stupid mistakes with us women. I know she's in love with you, that's why this hurt her so much. I know you love her or you wouldn't have slept out here waiting for her. This isn't about love, honey. This is about trust. Trust has to be earn by actions, not words."
