Fairy Tail Oneshots (x reader) [completed]

Wendy x male! Reader pt. 2

Y/n somehow had been dragged to a beach party with Fairy Tail, Lamia Scale and Mermaid Heel. As a user of shadow magic, Y/n really didn't care for the sun, which was somewhat ironic since he loved gardening. But he went anyway since Frosch would've cried if even one of the Cheney brothers didn't go.

Y/n didn't even understand why they were having a party in the first place. All he knew was one day Sting excitedly burst into the guild talking about how Fairy Tail wanted several guilds to join them for a few days at a beach resort. Since Sting was currently the master, he practically ordered everyone to attend.

"Y/n-kun!" Frosch cheerfully skipped over. A blue floaty was around his little waist. "Will you build a sand castle with Frosch?"

Sighing, the boy agreed. He got up from his spot under the large umbrella and followed the exceed down the beach where two buckets and shovels sat in the sand. The two began constructing a large castle. Y/n went back and forth to the ocean to gather pails of water. Wendy watched from afar.

"Go talk to him," Erza urged "gently" pushing Wendy forward.

"I-I don't think I can do it Erza-san," Wendy stammered.

"Nonsense." Erza grabbed Wendy's hand and dragged her towards the male despite the girl's protests. "Hello Y/n!"

They were right by them.

Y/n looked up to see a curvy red haired woman wearing a black bikini. Trying to hide behind her was a blue haired girl wearing a sundress and overly large hat.

"Um hi?" Y/n questioned.

The scarlet haired woman pulled Wendy in front of her. "My friend Wendy here was wondering if she could join you guys."

"I don't see why not."

"Wonderful. Then, off you go Wendy!" Erza pushed Wendy toward Y/n. Unfortunately, the clumsy girl toppled on top of him.

The two remained in the awkward position for a few seconds too long. Wendy's face exploded red and she scooted far away from Y/n to his confusion.

"Wendy, are you okay?"

"I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I didn't mean to fall on you! I'm sorry!"

"It's fine." Y/n said waving it off. "It's clear your friend pushed you a little too hard."

Wendy only nodded. She couldn't stop blushing. It made her heart beat erratically at how kind he was to her and how he completely overlooked her clumsiness. And even though Wendy could barley formulate words to make a sentence, he still engaged with her.

Slowly but surely, Wendy found herself stumbling over her words less and smiling more.

"There," Y/n said standing. "All done."

"Frosch is going to get Rogue to show him!" Frosch said cheerfully. Luckily, Y/n's brother was within his line of sight so he didn't panic too much about Frosch going on his own.

"Man, it's really hot," Y/n complained. It felt like the sun was beating his face. It was starting to become uncomfortable. "Do you want to go get ice cream or something, Wendy?"

"Um... sure!"

"INCOMING!"

Y/n noticed the figure barreling towards them before Wendy. He used his magic to transport them via shadow a few meters away from where the sand castle had once stood.

"Are you ok?" Y/n asked Wendy who nodded.

"Dammit! I still missed," Natsu groaned. He climbed out of the ditch he created and picked up the volleyball that was a foot or two away. Out of the corner of his eye, Y/n saw Frosch returning with Rogue.

"Oh shit... this is gonna get bad..." the young boy predicted. He grabbed Wendy's hand and began leading her back to the hotel.

"M-my castle..." Frosch whimpered upon seeing the destroyed structure. His eyes began to water.

And that's all it took for Rogue to snap and a large brawl to break out.

Y/n paid the worker a few coins before grabbing the two ice cream cones and walking back to Wendy. He handed her the strawberry cone and kept the f/f one for himself.

"T-thank you. I'll pay you back," Wendy said.

"No need. It's my treat," Y/n said begging to eat his ice cream. Wendy licked her own; the cold treat frosted her tastebuds. It was exceptionally sweet. She couldn't help but hum in delight.

"This is so good! I haven't had anything like it!" Wendy gushed.

"They're Costelia cones. The cream is softer and more savory than regular ice cream, but the business is locally owned. You can only get them in this town."

"Have you been here before now?"

"I used to live in the orphanage here," Y/n said. "Rogue and I were separated when we were very young. The two of us happened to meet by chance in town while he was on a mission."

"Do you remember how the two of you got separated?" Wendy asked.

Y/n shook his head. "We were both too young to remember."

"Oh... well, it's great that you two are back together now!" Wendy tried to keep the conversation going. She knew if they stopped, it would fall awkward again.

"Yeah. He's a bit overprotective but I can understand why," Y/n said. "He was the one that taught me how to use shadow magic to defend myself."

"I see, you must've felt really alone until then," Wendy said sadly.

"At times I did but there was always the other kids. I didn't really feel down until they got adopted and I didn't. But I guess that was the universe's way of telling me to wait for Rogue."

Wendy admired how positive Y/n was. From her experience from Cait Shelter, she understood the feelings of loneliness all too well and didn't ever want to feel that way again. That's one of the reasons she joined Fairy Tail.

"Here," Y/n suddenly said handing Wendy his ice cream. Wendy looked at him in confusion. "Yours melted."

"It did!" Low and behold, the pink ice cream was streaming down Wendy's hand. "Ah! I'm sorry!"

"No worries. You don't need to keep apologizing." Y/n stood and extended his hand out to her. "Come on. I want to show the girl I like the town I used to live in."

Wendy blushed but took his hand nonetheless.

Wanted to write about a beach because where I live, Mother Nature said fuck you and gave us winter. So it's currently 17 degrees Fahrenheit
