At the Tower of Heaven

"Stop crying you brat!" The mean man yelled only making me cry harder. He grabbed me by my night gown holding me up. "Shut the hell up."

He threw me roughly on the ground causing me to hit my head. I curl up holding my head whimpering. The mean man clicked his tongue before walking away.

I wanna go home

I want Erza-nee

After some time I fall asleep. I awake some time later to the sound of the cell opening. It was the man from before. I instantly become scared.

"Come on brat. You're moving cells." He roughly yanks my arm and forces me along. I don't even try to fight. "You brats have a new roommate. Play nice."

He threw me to the ground and shut the cell. Tears prickled my eyes. "Are you ok?" I look up and see a dark skinned blonde boy my age. He extends his hand. I take it hesitantly.

"I've been worse." He frowned.

"I'm Shô. Nice to meet you."

"I'm Y/n." There were five other kids in the cell. A boy with blue hair and a red tattoo over his eye. A black haired boy and a brunette. A little girl and the last girl had scarlet hair like mine.

"Y-y/n?" The girl said. My eyes widen.

"Erza-nee!" I run into her arms crying. She hugs me tight.

"You're ok..." I nod.

"Y/n, you know big sis?" Shô asked. I wipe my tears.

"She's my big sister."

Introductions were made after everyone got over their shock. Their names were Millianna, Jellal, Wally, and Simon.

The men came back and forced us to work on the Tower of Heaven again. I was already tired and sore but I didn't want to get in trouble. Shô offered to take some of the work for me. Even when I declined, he still did some.

We would work hard hours without a break. And we were fed little. Eventually, I got sick but I didn't say anything or else they'd work me even harder.

Erza and Shô stuck by my side. When we were fed, Shô would give me his bread or hand me his vegetables. "I don't want you to get even more sick," he said.

At night, Grandpa Rob would tell us stories. Stories of wizards with magic and guilds. I one day too wanted to join a guild and see the world.

"Hey, Y/n, are you still awake?" Shô asked when we should be asleep.

"Yeah."

"If we get out of here, would you want to go see the world with me?"

"..."

"..."

"Definitely."

Now

The wind whipped my hair. The sun was just rising. It feels so long ago we escaped Jellal and the Tower of Heaven.

When Erza-nee left, I was devastated but Shô didn't leave.

"Mmh, Y/n, why are you up?" A sleepy voice asks. Shô walks on to the balcony rubbing his eyes.

"Oh did I wake you?" I ask.

"Nah." He walked up to me and I placed a kiss on his lips.

"I'm just thinking of the past. That's all."

"Don't. All we have is the future ahead." I smile and nod looking at the sun rise. Shô drapes an arm over my shoulder. "So where's our next adventure?"

"Well, Millianna is thinking of joining a guild. I want to visit Erza-nee soon but I'm cool wherever as long as I'm with you." Shô began to chuckle. "What's so funny?"

"S-sorry. You're just very cheesy." My cheeks turn red. "I'm just teasing. You're so cute!" He punched my cheeks. I swat his hand.

"Don't tease me."

"Ok. Ok. Sorry."

"OI! Love birds! You ready to go!" Wally yells from down on the beach. Millianna was with him.

"Yeah. Give us a minute," I call back. I turn to Shô. "Shall we go then?" He smiles.

"As long as I'm with you, I'm always ready to go."
