Natsu x wife!reader [3]

Beginning Note: I know this is finished but I got an idea. I need to explain it before it begins. This is somewhat of an alternate story to the first Natsu x wife. It's where majority of the guild goes missing on Tenrou. Y/n stayed to watch Ignis. She was pregnant at the time with their second child and couldn't go. As the guild loses popularity and money, Y/n leaves the guild to join sabertooth in order to make money for her son and her guild.

A year past marking the day Fairy Tail had received the news Tenrou Island has been destroyed by Acnologia. Everyone had suffered greatly from it, but no one could have been hurt more than Y/n. Not only did she have to explain to her two-year old son (now 3) at the time why his father wasn't coming home, she and Natsu's newborn daughter, Natsumi, would have to grow up without him.

As the guild fell in popularity and strength without some of the strongest members, Fairy Tail became run down. The guild had to move to a small barn. They couldn't pay their debts to Twilight Ogre, who constantly bullied them. Y/n picked up a job at a cafe just to be able to make enough for her and the kids to eat. But she could never get a babysitter and would have to work with Natsumi on her back and with Ignis playing in the staff room.

The day a somewhat decent job arrived at Fairy Tail requesting that Y/n use her Nature God Slayer magic to heal a wealthy businessman's daughter, she took it. Taking her children, their things, and hers, they traveled two days by train to a town a few hours outside of Crocus.

Y/n completed the job with ease, grateful for the maids that watched her children to keep them from getting sick. The client paid her graciously and offered for her to stay a few days. Y/n only accepted because she wasn't ready to go home.

It hurt to bad to return without Natsu's awaiting smile. Or a brawl he started with Gray. She missed Erza's headbanging hugs and shopping with Lucy. Y/n couldn't forget sweet Wendy who would always ask her for pointers about healing magic. And don't forget Happy. For the longest time, the feline was scared of Ignis cause the toddler always tried to put his tail in his mouth.

As Y/n walked around the city with Natsumi on her back and Ignis holding her hand, she felt at peace. All that was missing was Natsu...

A loud crash pulled Y/n out of her thoughts. Something came flying out of the large building the Dragneel's were passing. Y/n took a closer look and realized it was a young man, battered and bloodied.

"Oh my god! Are you ok?" Y/n began healing him with her magic.

"I'm fine," the man said sitting up with a wince. "It's my own fault for being weak." He looked back at the building. Y/n sensed strong magic from it and scowled.

"I'll be back."

"Don't-" the man grabbed her arm. "You don't want to mess with the master of that guild or any of its members. They're ruthless. It's... it's not a place to bring those children."

"I'm just gonna teach them a lesson about weakness and if anyone touches my babies, I'll personally see that their death be inevitable," Y/n assured. "Please sir, get to a hospital. You don't want your wounds to get infected."

Y/n turned on her heel and entered the building. All eyes were instantly on her. She felt nervous all of a sudden.

Taking a deep breath she said, "there's an injured man outside. Who hurt him?"

There was a few moments of silent before a blond boy walked forward. He was maybe at most Wendy's age. "I did," he said smugly. Before anyone realized what was happening, large thick vines shot Up from the floorboards and coiled around the boy.
