Not Just Another

Sydney's POV-

I had fallen asleep on the ride to the camp. When I woke up, we were pulling into some type of facility. I rubbed the sleep out of my eyes and looked out the window like everyone else. "Wow, this place looks great." I hear Tommy say from behind me. " I honestly don't mind staying at all." Steven said, staring admiringly out the window.

We pulled into a parking lot and the van came to a stop. Noah got out first and opened the door for the rest of us. We got out and began looking around in wonder at where we were currently. It was huge college campus looking camp. There were lots of buildings and the occasional person walking around. "This place is amazing! Do you guys stay here?" I questioned. " Yeah, we live here with plenty of other kids who have powers." Anaiyah said while beginning to walk towards a boy standing at the entrance. We all followed her over to him.

"Guys, this is JJ, he'll be showing you around and will show you where you'll be bunking." "Hey!" Paris exclaimed giving us all a wave. We all waved back, yet Daniela added in a small " Hey, JJ." I looked over at her and had a feeling she thought this Paris dude was cute. "Well you guys enjoy the tour. We have some stuff we need to attend to." Nya said. So, Nya, Noah, Aniyah, and Sofia walked away, headed toward the largest building in the campus. " Well I'm JJ, as you guys already know. So, just follow me and I'll show you guys around a bit."

He began walking toward the campus, leading us inside. After walking for a little while we stopped at a one floor building with lots of windows. " This is the cafeteria where all meals are served. You can also come down anytime for something to drink or for a snack." JJ explained. "Well then, guess I'll be here all the time." Quinn said. We laughed then Paris led us to another, much larger building. "Now this," JJ said gesturing to the building in front of us, " Is where classes and training happen. " I looked through one of the windows and saw a class in session.

"Woah!" I suddenly heard Tommy yell. " That kid in there just flew across the room!" " Yeah, you get used to seeing this stuff eventually." JJ said. He then lead us away from that building and toward another one where people were going in and out consistently. "Now these are the dorms, where you all will be sleeping." He then led us us inside and up a few flights of stairs. He then stopped us at two doors at the end of the hallway. "The room on the right is for Tommy and Steven, and the one on the left is for Daniela, Quinn, and Sydney." JJ told us. "Well, I'm gonna leave you guys to get settled. See ya around!" JJ waved to us while Daniela waved enthusiastically with a wide grin on her face.

I rolled my eyes at her. She then turned around and grabbed the handle of the door. "Let's see where we'll be staying!" Daniela said turning the knob and reveling our dorm.
