Sydney's POV-
We ran out of the training room and stopped. We had no idea where to go from here. "Well now, where do we go?" Corbyn asked. Daniela suddenly turned toward the open doorway to the left of us.
"We need to go this way," she said. "They're gonna try and catch us by coming from the right." We all looked at each other then took off through the doorway and ran down the hallway. The hallway then split into 3 different paths and we stopped again.
"Ughh why is this place such a maze?" Tommy complained. I turned to Daniela and waited to see if she would be able to find out what hallway we should go down. Suddenly her face morphed into one of confusion. "Daniela, do you know where we should go?" She shook her head. "The only thing I'm getting is that they're not gonna chase us at all" Daniela then seemed to have a sudden realization. "GUYS, they're gonna shock us!!" She suddenly yelled out.
I froze and a frown formed on my face. "Well is there a way we could-" I was suddenly cut off as I was shocked. But it was much worse than any other shock we had ever gotten before. I was knocked onto my knees and my face twisted in pain. I turned over and saw everyone else doing the same. My vision began to blur and it was becoming difficult to decipher who was who. I eventually couldn't handle the pain anymore and passed out.
Noah's POV-
I quickly jumped out of the van once we arrived. The others followed soon after. Sofia came up to me and said, "Do you think the kids will be okay?" I wanted to roll my eyes and tell her truth, but I put on a fake sad face and lied to her. "Yeah, they'll be okay. We just have to get to them and get out of here." I begin to move away from her and look for an entrance. If the person I called understood anything I said, there should be a door opened somewhere around here. I round to the side of the building and find a large metal door. I run to it and pull on the handle. It finally opens with some added force. I smile and call the others over. "Here's our way in."Sydney's POV-
When I woke up I was in an unfamiliar room. I turned to my side and noticed I was laying on a bed. I rubbed my eyes and tried to get my vision to focus. I noticed that there were more beds in the room. Quinn was in the bed to the right of me and Tommy was in the one to the left. I sat up and looked around. The others were also in their own beds, but no one else seemed to be waking up. I got out of the bed and began to look around the room. There were no windows anywhere, making the room dark and dreary as there were only two lights in here. There was a bathroom at the left of the room and a large metal door that must be the exit.
I realize that when they put us in this room they made sure we only had the essentials and nothing to use as a weapon. I walk over to the door and pull the handle. But as I expected it was locked. I huff and turn back around to the beds. I notice Corbyn beginning to stir and so is Quinn. They finally wake up and notice me standing near the door. Corbyn is the first one to speak, "Where are we?" He asked as he stands up and stretches. I shrug and tell him what I managed to figure out. "I guess since we tried to run away they put us in a room where it's basically impossible to get out,"
Do our powers work in the room?" Quinn asked. After she said the question, Tommy, Steven, and Daniela began to stir. I turned my head toward them then turned back to Quinn and Corbyn. "No idea, but I doubt they would risk letting us use our powers in here." I heard footsteps behind me, I turned around and saw Tommy, Daniela, and Steven making their way over to us. "Guess we're stuck here then," Steven said.
"Unless we can pull some miracle and escape," Corbyn said. We suddenly heard the lock on the door switch and opened slowly. We backed away from the door and waited to see who was behind it.
Light flooded into the room and I had to squint to adjust to the brightness. My eyes refocused and I saw who was behind the door.
Conner Vast. I rolled my eyes and couldn't refrain my mouth. "What the hell do you want?" He turned to me and smiled. He ignored my question and whispered something to the guards behind. They then nodded and moved away from him to allow him into the room. Once he was in, the door closed and every ounce of light from outside was diminished.
"Being in this room has made you all a little anxious I see," Conner said. "Ya think?" Quinn replied. None of us were in the mood to deal with his antics today. "Can you just get to the point already?" Tommy said. "Oh, very well," Conner said. He straightened his tie and wiped the smile off of his face. "That little... stunt you all pulled was dangerous. If you had managed to escape, you would've caused P.F.U a lot of damage. That wouldn't have ended well for you all, I can promise that."
"Again what's your point to all of this?" Daniela said, irritated. "My point is, that we're gonna make sure that you never try to pull that stunt ever again." Conner stated, beginning to smile again. "We've reprogrammed the chips and now they will give you a very, hmmm, serious shock when you are where you shouldn't be." "That's never gonna work," Corbyn yelled. Conner stayed calm at Corbyn's outburst. As if he had been expecting it. "You all may not think it's possible, but I can assure you it is."
I frowned deeply at his words and tried to think of a way around the newly programmed chips, but my mind ran blank, we were in a tough situation.
