Chapter 12.

Mike's POV (as promised)

                      It was exactly 8 o'clock when I knocked on her door. A few seconds later, Maya opened the door looking beautiful, she looked a lot like Anna, but if anything happens to her I'll give up on dating forever. She began chuckling suddenly, why is she chuckling? Do I look funny? Did I forget to wear pants? Nope, I have some on.

"Hey. We match." She said looking down.

"So we're going to be THAT couple?" I didn't really mind it, it's just that the same thing happened on Anna's and my first date. Maya reminded me too much of her.

"I can always change if you want to." she said like she knew what was up.

"No no. I like it, it's kind of cute." I really liked it, she looked so pretty. We went in the elevator, when we were coming out a lot of people were checking Maya out. So, I did the normal thing and put my arm around her, after that the guys were giving me a dirty look. She didn't seem to mind the contact so, I kept my position until we reached my car.

"So where are we going?" She asked trying to mask her excitement but failing badly, she looked like a little kid at Christmas.

"We're going to dinner then I want to show you something." She replied with a nod, like she was stressed or something.  Wait, was it her first date ever?

"Have you ever dated anyone?" I asked with curiosity. She started telling me about her ex and how they didn't even like each other but did it anyways.

"So pretty much, you're my first actual date." she finished off with a really nervous smile.

"Well, I used to like this girl named Ann." She cut me off, told me that Katie told her the story. It eased her a little bit but I could feel her heart going really fast.

"Sorry for your loss." She looked down.

"Hey, don't be sad. I completely moved on and I guess I was just looking for the special one." I winked and put my hand on her thigh for reassurance.

                     We arrived at Chile's and I asked for a table for two. When we arrived at our table, me being the gentleman I am pulled Maya's chair out and pushed it back in. A really short waitress came to take our orders. It was all good until she tried to flirt with me, didn't she see Maya standing right there? My date seemed like she noticed the hitting thing too because she shifted uncomfortably in her seat, I could see that she wasn't going to yell at her to back off of me because she was too nice but you could see the annoyance in her eyes while she pretended to search the menu.

"Can you please stop? You're clearly making the girl,that I actually have interest, in uncomfortable with your flirting." I said rolling my eyes. Surprise was written all over Maya's face, but she tried to hide her smile. The waitress slowly walked away from our table and a few seconds later, a guy replaced her.

"Hey,my name is Andrew. What can I get for ya today?" he said facing me.

"I'll have a           . And you Maya?" I asked. Andrew shifted his gaze over her and his eyes roamed my escort. I clenched my jaw in annoyance, can't we have a waiter that isn't checking one of us out? He was still staring at her when I interupted him rudely.

"Did you decide yet, babe?" I said putting a point to the word "babe" and she blushed.

"First date?" he asked Maya but she just nodded not taking her eyes off the menu.

"Give me a call if it doesn't work out." he winked, wrote something down on a piece of paper and threw it on her side of the table.

"Trust me, she won't need that, because we will work out." I said giving him a smirk. After that, the hitting stopped and he actually became a good waiter. Maya didn't know what to order, so she just took what I took.

                      After dinner, we went back to my car and I drove to our next destination. Maya will love it and I'm sure of that. I drove until we reached the hill, I always used to go here when I was little. The best part of this place was the view at night. You could see the city's lights with the stars right above you. I think Maya liked this place basing on what she said when we came out.

"Wow. Mike this place is amazing." she said with her eyes sparkling. We quickly went to the top and when she was met with the lights, her eyes widened and a huge smile crept over her face.

"Do you like it?" I asked already knowing the answer.

"Not really." Oh, well I was so wrong.

"I love it. Thank you, this is so awesome." Oh, phew. She walked closer to the end, I came right behind her and whispered:

"Did you have fun tonight?"

"Yeah, thank you. I had a wonderful time."

"It's no problem, I have a question for you." She nodded as to go on.

"Will you give me the honor to call you my girlfriend?" After that Maya gasped and stiffened. She turned around and took a deep breath.

"Yes Mike, I would love to." Without warning, I crashed my lips into hers.
