My job was relatively easy. Not that I'd anticipated something that would ultimately lead to my demise, but Austin Wood could be described as a man with a passion to work, and no time for play. Besides in between the sheets.

Did I just steal that off of a magazine article? Yes. Do I have to explain why I have it memorized? No.

I was filing through the reports he needed to sign before the end of the day, when Brent and Mahalia walk up to my desk looking like two cult members.

"We have a proposition for this fine Friday night," Mahalia begins, drawing my eyes away from the paperwork for a moment.

"Sit at home watching The Office and eating too many tubs of ice cream? Because then I'm all feet in," I laugh, resting my hands on the Manila folder in front of me.

"Ooh wait! I like her idea better!" Brent says, clearly overjoyed my actual plans. Yes, I'd been looking forward to this all week.

Mahalia rolls her eyes and playfully shoved Brent. They'd be cute together.

"No. We're going out. Since it was your official week of work, young Lainey, we are going to a bar and getting drunk as fuck, and then crashing at another house only to regret out poor decisions from the night before until the man rolls over and then you fuck again because he was too hot to give up just yet until he cheats on you with your sister and you have no other choice than to end your spicy relationship so he can marry your sister and then try and start an affair but you pass because that bitch deserves to be with the shit storm of a sister you have."

I slowly look over to Brent who was doing the same.

"Either you have too much time on your hands, or you need to go to therapy, but I'm down," Brent laughs, leaning against my desk in the process.

"As appealing as that sounds, I don't do the whole one night stand thing. But the drinking I can get behind."

We finish up our plans and I was back to organizing the documents on my desk.

"Planning I'm going out tonight?"

I look up to Austin and fake a smile. Not because I had a distaste for the man smand was incapable of formulating a real smile, but because he clearly eavesdropped and that's just not right.

"Yeah, I think so. What are your plans for the evening?" I ask, gazing back to the work on my desk before a realization strikes me like a bowling pin, "Shit, that's kind of my job," I reply, looking around for his agenda.

I see out of the corner of my eye, a slight smirk that I'm sure would send a million of girls and guy to the floor. Of course, I'm not going to fall for his dumb antics. I have better things to worry about than getting tangled up in another scandal.

"What are your plans tonight?" I say before quickly realizing something, "Wow. Look at me already failing at my job." I speak my thoughts unintentionally.

"Don't worry about it, Miss. Bennett. I can arrange them myself on the weekends so long as they aren't business related."

I nod my head, memorizing this me information that I probably should have already known.

He turns in his heel and goes back into his office. This man was either in there, or out somewhere I had no clue. I probably should but again, my training for this position was absolutely nothing. All I had was Mahalia's assistance to guide me through the American work day.

I go back to organizing the records and praying for lunch to hurry up because I had a sandwich just calling my name.
