Everyone remembers where they were the moment when they heard of the Demon Tracker. It changed the world, you know, the fact that there was scientific proof of Demons. It changed everything. Some people panicked. Some people were glad. Some people didn't care. They knew the government would control the evil Demons.
Let's rewind. For months, years even, rumors had been going around that many big scientists suspected the existence of Demons. A small group of super smart people got together and discussed the possibility. Then came the incident.
It was all the news showed for weeks. It happened somewhere in California, at a big convention. As one of the presenters was doing a question and answer session on stage, a fan pointed out that the celebrity had been acting unusual. The rest of the story is in pieces. Some of the witnesses claimed that he carried a weapon, others saying he was supernatural. But it was always the same ending: the man went crazy, resulting in six people dead and twenty-four injured. The man himself was missing.
Later, when things had calmed down, the police released some more bits of information about the attack. The celebrity's name was Sean Mcloughlin, also known as JackSepticEye, a popular YouTuber. It shocked people that someone as popular as him could hide a secret that big for so long. But it was the proof that the scientists needed to start their research.
Yet some people were skeptical. They didn't think that Demons existed, even after the incident. But that quickly changed when it happened again, this time not as big, though four people were injured, one of whom didn't survive. Again, it had been a celebrity who attacked. Also, it was after someone had said something to them about their strange actions. This particular attack was caused by Mark Fischbach, Markiplier, another big YouTube star.
Three weeks later there was an announcement. The scientists were working on a machine. The machine would be able to track down Demons. Demons would be captured and secured, so that no one would get hurt again.
There was a time where the scientists were silent, and the world was back to normal. Nothing of importance happened. Usually this is where the author explains what Demons are, or how the Demon Tracker worked, but I want to introduce myself instead.
My name is Aaron Leaton. Now I've been told many, many times that Aaron is a boy's name, but face it, I'm not a boy! For a quick description, I'll just go with the basics. I have golden blonde hair that goes a little past my shoulders, green eyes that sometimes turn normal hazel, and pale skin.
I've always known I was... different. I sort of have a split personality, or an altered personality, separated soul, whatever you want to call it. Normally I'm the quiet kid. You know, the one that gets bullied and has good grades in school. But when someone crosses the line, and makes me really upset, it's not pretty.
Now, you may be thinking, do you hurt them? The answer to that question is, not usually. And if I do, it's not much. Usually I just use words to settle it, and I have NEVER thrown the first punch. But sometimes it feels good to let feelings out, especially when you don't have someone to turn to all of the time.
I have friends, sure. But they all have better friends, or sports, or teams. I never fit in. Trust me. I've tried multiple times. Robotics, soccer, shooting, 4-H. I'm still in some of them, but no one notices me. I get lonely sometimes. But enough of my life story. Like I said, I'm different.
