I woke up a few times along the way, but I was too tired to say awake for long. I finally woke up when the van came to a stop. When the men opened the doors, I saw that we were at large building, surrounded by a thick wall and armed soldiers. I was terrified, but I obeyed the men when they dragged me out of the vehicle.

I saw that there were two other vans next to the one I had been in. Suddenly two military soldiers came running past us, and as I turned I saw why.

About half way between the vans and the building stood a man. But it wasn't a normal human.

He was pale- black and white actually- and was surrounded by red and blue light. He was being held back by two guards, while the soldiers aimed their guns at him. I saw one of the soldiers talking to him, and after a few minutes, the light around him abruptly left and he collapsed on the ground. His skin was no longer black and white, and his clothes had changed from a suit to a casual outfit. The guards dragged him into the building.

A second group of guards walked up, dragging another prisoner with them. They stopped to chat with the group of agents I was with. They talked to each other, evidently friends, as I studied their prisoner. He had dark green hair, a deep cut across his throat, and the air seemed to turn to static around him. From what I understood, this was his Demon form. He didn't look at me.

I saw the trick coming before the guards, and because I knew what the Demon was going through, I didn't stop it.

In one swift movement, he kicked the two men holding him in the shins, making them loosen their grip enough to break free. He was halfway across the courtyard before the guards could react. One of the guards pulled a small remote from his pocket. It had a dial and a button, and I quickly recognized it as a shock collar remote. I wanted to warn the Demon, but there was nothing I could do. The guard pressed the button down.

The Demon gave a shrill shriek as he fell to the ground, writhing in pain as electricity coursed through his body. It was now that I noticed the collar around his neck. He stilled, probably unconscious. Hopefully. His hair faded to a lighter shade of green and the cut vanished. I wanted to run to him, see if he was okay, but as soon as I took a step forward one of the guards grabbed the cuffs around my wrists and pulled me back. The guard holding the remote turned to the others.

"We found that the only thing that can keep him from attacking us was the shock collar. Lucky you guys, getting a little girl." He regarded me with cold eyes. One of the agents who had come to my house held up his burned arms.

"None of you had to deal with actual Demons 'till you got here though." He laughed with no humor. His friend shrugged.

"Fair enough. We should probably get going." The guards nodded. Then they dragged the unconscious man into the building, just like the last one. My captor turned to the rest of the men.

"Let's get the girl inside, then get these burns patched up."
