The cell was white. No color whatsoever. The walls were white. The small cot in the corner was white. The florescent light on the ceiling was white. I hated it. But to be fair, I hated this place in general. I sat down on the bed. I pulled my knees to my chest and rested my head on them. Then I started to cry.

I stayed like that for a while, even after the tears stopped. I rocked back and forth, my mind going at a million miles an hour. I only moved when I heard knocking through the wall. I wandered over to the corner, where the knocking grew slightly louder. I hesitated then tapped on the wall lightly. The knocking sound stopped momentarily. Then I heard a muffled voice.

"C-can you hear me?" My heart skipped a beat. I recognized the voice as Sean, the green-haired man in the cell next to me. I took a breath.

"Yeah... yeah I can hear you."
