Chapter 11

When Jack got back with the whole 'love life' thing, he wouldn't shut up about it, but it was kind of worth it; seeing him happy is all any of us want.

I mean we all kind of had relationships too.

Jenna has a crush on this guy, she has ever since the second grade, he asked her out once but I don't remember what happened. It's complicated for them.

Elizabeth was maybe going to get back with Jason... she just doesn't know it yet.

Haley had tons of guys chasing after her, why wouldn't she? She's beautiful. She could get with any of them; they were all so sweet and she had dozens of flowers in her lockers by many guys. Even some girls.

I'm just waiting for Annabelle to get emotionally better so she can ask me out, I love her and I'll wait.

But for now, I have to deal with Jason. It's time for the mall.

I pulled up in front of Jason's house with my truck and knocked on the door. His mom answered.

"Who are you?" His mother asked me.

"Hello ma'am, my name is Matthew. I'm Jason's friend; we're going to the mall."

"Ooh! You're Matthew. I'll get Jason, just a second, love."

She rushed upstairs like she was being chased by a robber. Her enthusiasm was all over the place. I just waited in my truck for him to hurry up. This better be worth the drive over here.

She yelled, "Jason! Matthew is here. Get your butt downstairs and have fun with your friend!"

"Okay! Okay. I'm going, damn it. No need for rushing, it's just the mall, mom."

"Just have fun I have-" She stopped and created an awkward silent moment. "Plans! Go now."

"Ooh, gross, mom! Bye, I love you." He shouted back at her and came out of the door and into my truck. He must of been more excited than me. I thought he didn't even like me until this favor.

"So you ready?" I ask him.

"Oh, yeah man. Let's go!"

"You seem excited... too excited. What's up?"

"Nothing, nothing. Let's drive."

"Okay then."

We arrive at the mall finally. I forgot we were supposed to do this a few days ago. Oops, but we're here for a fun 'guys out' day, I guess.

"So what did you want to do here? You wanted to get some girl's number here but then you wanted Elizabeth back and still want to go to the mall, what do we do?"

"We can do anything. Get food, go shopping, make friends. I don't know... I guess I'm just focused on getting back with Elizabeth. Can we see her?"

"We drove all this way for you to realize you just want to see her."

"Yeah, sorry about that. You mind?"

"Nope! Not. At. All."

This idiot. Made me drive him to realize this shit, god damn it.

"Yeah, sure, They're all waiting at my house, let's go."

"Oh my gosh, it's really happening, I can't believe this. Are you sure I'm even ready?"

"You are, what're you going to say to her?"

"Can't I just ask Jack? He's with someone and he's always romantic to her, maybe I can get some tips from him. Ya know?"
