“Whoa,” said Fang. “Look at that place!” He was right. The fortress was a sight to behold. It looked like a evil castle combined with a haunted house combined with a military base. It wasn’t as big as Wrecker’s castle, but it was big enough. We all stood there in awe of the enemy stronghold.
    “So…now what?” said Diablo.
“Now we go in there, you change Misty back to normal, we kick the Dark Legion’s butts, and then we all go home and eat lunch,” I said.
“Sounds like a plan,” said Mighty.     “Let’s roll.” We all began to make our way to the front gates of the fortress. Just as we were about to bust the gates open, I started to sense something…something evil.
“Guys,” I said. “I think we might wanna move.”
“Why?” said Fightbot. The ground underneath us began to rumble and shake. We all began wobbling and losing our footing.
“That’s why,” I said. Just then, I gigantic, gray arm with black claws came out of the ground. It almost came down on Ruby, but she levitated out of the way just in time. We were all forced to move back. Then out of the ground arose a humungous Cyclops. Its skin was grey and its big eye was red. He was also wearing a brown skirt. It looked down on us menacingly.
“Looks like the Dark Legion got themselves a new bodyguard,” said Adojo. The Cyclops let out a ferocious roar.
“What did it say?” Mighty asked Fang.
“How should I know?” said Fang.
“Don’t you talk to animals?” Mighty asked.
“Yeah,” said Fang. “I talk to animals not monsters.”
    “There’s a difference?”
“Of course there’s a difference!” Fang said angrily. “There’s a huge difference!”
“But you can talk to Chimera, and it’s a monster.”
“Yes, but it’s a monster made up of different animal parts.”
“So you can talk to monsters as long as they’re animal-like?”
“Yeah,” said Fang. “I think so.”
“Can we talk about the specifics of Fang’s super powers later?” I said. “We’ve got work to do.”
“But first we have to get past bright eye here,” Ruby said pointing to the Cyclops.
“But why hasn’t it attacked us yet?” Fightbot asked. He was right. The Cyclops looked like it was ready for a fight, yet it was just standing there in front of the gate, not even attempting to attack us.
    “Yeah what gives?” said Adojo.
“It must be my monster repellent,” Diablo replied. “It’s keeping that thing away from us.”
“So it won’t hurt us?” Ruby asked.
“Nope,” Diablo replied. “We’re completely untouchable,” suddenly, the Cyclops pulled out a huge club and slammed it on the ground causing a seismic quake that caused us all to fall over. “Unless it has a club,” Diablo added. The Cyclops then shot a fierce red laser beam out of its eye. It was so fast, we all just barely dodged it. “And laser vision.”
“Let’s just take care of this thing already,” I said. We all took our battle stances and got ready to rumble.      “Super Fighters-,” My call was suddenly interrupted by a familiar evil laugh. “Wrecker…” I said angrily. Just then, dark clouds bean to form above the fortress. Lightning crashed and in the sky, formed a light hologram of Wrecker’s head.
“Well if it isn’t Brent Cosmos and his little band of misfits,” Wrecker said. “How nice of you all to visit. I see you’ve gotten acquainted with the doorman.”
“Shut up Wrecker,” I said. “What’ve you done with Misty?”
“Funny you should ask,” he said snidely.
“If you’ve done anything to hurt her I’ll,”
“Relax boy,” Wrecker said. “She’s fine. After all, I would never hurt my own fiancé.”
    “Fiancé!?” we all said surprised.
“What are you talking about Wrecker?” said Ruby. “Misty would never marry you!”
“Yeah,” said Adojo. “She might have a thing for freaks, but she’d never be with you!”
    “Yeah…HEY!” I said.
“Face it Cosmos,” said Wrecker. “You don’t deserve a woman like Misty. She should be with a powerful man who knows what to do.”
“I know what to do!” I said irritated. “I just don’t feel comfortable doing it!”
“Regardless,” Wrecker said. “I have decided to take Misty as my wife. She’ll be held here until everything is ready. I’d invite you all to attend the wedding, but something tells me you wont be able to make it. Farewell, fools!” With his evil laugh echoing in the sky, Wrecker’s head hologram disappeared.
“WRECKER!!!” I yelled as my eyes turned red. “COME AND FIGHT ME!!!” I started shooting lasers and blasting lightning in the sky angrily. “I won’t let this happen.” I snarled. With my super speed I ran towards the Cyclops. It tried to smash me with its club, but I zigged and zagged dodging every blow. I than ran through its legs, up the side of the gate, and into the fortress. With my eyes red and my mouth snarled, I ran into the fortress.
“Oh crap!” Mighty shouted. “Brent went in to save Misty on his own!”
“What?” Diablo said. “Did he forget that he can’t change Misty back without my alchemy?”
“Brent’s gone into berserk mode,” said Fang.
“Great,” said Adojo “We’ve gotta stop him before he does something stupid!”
“Right now we’ve got our own problems,” said Fightbot. The Cyclops then let out another roar.
“Right, let’s do it!” said Ruby. Once again the Super Fighter all took their battle stances. They stood their, all of their eyes locked on the Cyclops and the Cyclops’s eyes were locked on them. They stood there…almost as if they were waiting for something.
“Wow,” said Fightbot. “I was totally waiting for Brent to say ‘Super Fighters, Go.’”
    “Yeah,” said Mighty.
    “Awkward,” said Diablo.
    “Yep,” Fang added.
“Well maybe one of us should say it,” said Adojo.
“Yeah, why don’t you say it Fightbot?” said Ruby.
“Alright,” Fightbot said. He cleared his throat and took a deep breath. “Super Fighters, GO!” he said confidently. The team all charged at full speed towards the Cyclops. “Nailed it!” Fightbot whispered under his breath.
Meanwhile I was charging through the fortress at lightning speed. The inside was like a maze. I flew through the hallways and chambers with nothing to guide me but my instincts. Soon I made it to the main chamber of the fortress. There waiting for me was Ballista, Primech, and Chimera.
“Hello Cosmos,” said Ballista. “Nice of you drop by.”
“Yes, and what good timing,” said Primech. “I’m sure Misty would be thrilled to see you one last time before she marries Wrecker.” My eyes turned red with rage. “In fact Ballista, we haven’t gotten Misty a wedding present yet. Don’t you think a golden statue of her former beloved would do nicely?”
“Excellent idea Primech,” Ballista said. She then raised her hand and shot out a golden ray of magical energy. I recognized that spell. It was the transformation spell that turned things to gold. But I wasn’t worried. I just stood there, unfazed. The spell hit me, but nothing happened. “What!?” Ballista yelled. “But that’s impossible! You’re not even wearing the True-Form Amulet!” I laughed maniacally.
“Brent Cosmos never falls for the same trick twice!” I said. “After what happened on Amazonia, I used my Destructoid powers to absorb the True-From Amulet. Now it’s power is a part of me. Your transforming spells will have no effect on me ever again!” I then grew my monster arm and slammed it on the floor making the villains topple over. My eyes turned red with rage once again. I began to speak. My words became more intense and angry with every sentence.
“Now let me tell you what’s going to happen. I’m going to beat all of you to villainous pulps! Then I’m going to get Misty out of here! Then I’m going to find your worthless boss and beat him within an inch of his life! I might even burn him in his other eye just to make a point! Then I’m going to strap all of you to a giant nuke and…hey, why are you guys putting on gas masks?”
Ballista and Primech had put masks around their faces. Even Chimera had gas muzzles on both of its heads. I then started to smell something weird. “What’s that smell?”
“SSSSleep venom gasssss,” I heard a hissing voice say. I turned around and to my surprise, Slither was there breathing out venom gas. My vision began to get hazy. It felt like the room was spinning. This was bad. I was so pissed off about the marriage thing, I ran in without thinking and let my guard down. Once again my anger had gotten me into trouble. This time it had lead me straight into a trap.
“Looks like I made a whoopsie…” I said woozily. I then fell over unconscious.
    “Indeed,” Slither said sinisterly.
