Our story begins on a fantastic and mystical planet called Fury. Fury is without a doubt a very special planet. It's a world of pure fantasy that has everything that anyone could possibly imagine. Aliens, cyborgs, monsters, wizards, magic, ninjas, absolutely anything that was amazing or mythical could be found on Fury. Fury's unique properties and elements also make it the home of some very special people with incredible powers and skills that are unlike anything else in the universe. Although some "Furyians" use their powers for good and some just use them as part of their everyday lives, there were some who used their special abilities for their own benefit and personal gain. These wicked beings do whatever they want and don't care who gets in their way. Only one word can be used to describe these villainous creatures: evil.
While most Furyians are relatively peaceful creatures that just want to go through life without any trouble, there were still those who wanted to make trouble, for everyone. Evil wizards, mad scientists, alien invaders, mutants, thieves, and all kinds of wicked villains who are willing to do anything to get what they want. Now, it's a well-known fact that no matter where you go, chances are you're going to find some sort of evil. But the one good thing about evil is that wherever there's evil, good will rise up against it. This was true on Fury as well, for while Fury did have many villains, it also had heroes as well. Great warriors and adventurers who fought to defend their homes and protect the innocent. Fury had all kind of heroes, most of which had achieved great fame and made pretty good names for themselves. But of all the heroes on Fury, there was a special breed of hero that was more famous than all the other heroes combined. This was a special family of heroes with phenomenal powers that has protected Fury from evil for generations. This family was called, the Cosmos.
The Cosmoses are a family that has been on Fury for as long as anyone can remember. Every single member of the Cosmos family has been significantly different, but the one thing that they all had in common is that they were all great superheroes. They use their amazing powers to help those in need and fight the greatest evils that Fury has to offer. There's hardly a soul on Fury, evil or otherwise, who hasn't heard of the Cosmos family. They were praised, feared, and respected throughout the entire planet. However, out of all of the Cosmoses there have been, there was one who really stood out from all the rest. His name was Darryl Cosmos.
Darryl Cosmos was one of the greatest heroes that Fury has ever known. He was strong, brave, powerful, noble, and as heroic as they come. There was no foe too strong, no evil too great, or no good deed too small for Darryl Cosmos to handle. He was the champion of champions, no one could match his skill and strength, or so it seemed. After years of going through life relatively unchallenged by Fury's ne'er do wells, one day he finally met his match in a particular villain, or more precisely, villainess. This powerful mistress of evil was LaKeeSha: Queen of the Destructoids.
The Destructoids were a race of evil aliens that were feared throughout the entire universe. They were known for being powerful, ruthless, and rotten to the core. Destructoids had many evil and destructive powers that they used solely for conquering and destroying planets. Destructoids were known for nothing but doing evil and were pretty much despised by everyone in the universe. Still, they are proof that no crime goes unpunished for after years of their galactic torment and terrorizing they finally paid for their mistakes when their entire planet was destroyed. Now, Destructoids may be pretty powerful, but not even they can survive a planetary explosion. Of all the Destructoids, only one was able to survive, the most powerful one of them all: their queen.
With her entire planet and species gone, LaKeeSha had no choice but to find a new world to rule. A place where she could build a powerful new empire that she could use to conquer the entire universe. Fortunately (and unfortunately) she found that place in Fury. With all of Fury's strange creatures and powerful inhabitants, she knew that she could create an empire that could even rival that of the late Destructoids. Still, though she tried as hard as she could to conquer the planet, there was one thing she didn't count on, Darryl Cosmos.
Darryl and LaKeeSha were enemies from the start and it was pretty easy to see why. LaKeeSha wanted to take over the planet and Darryl was determined to stop her no matter what. Every time LaKeeSha hatched an evil plan, Darryl was always right there to put a stop to it. And while their fights usually ended in a draw, LaKeeSha couldn't settle for anything other than complete and total victory. Darryl wasn't too happy about the idea of tying with a villain either. Truly they hated each other with a passion stronger than anything in the universe. However, as the years went on, the burning flames of their mutual hatred started to die down. Darryl had never met a villain, let alone a woman, who could match his skills before, and LaKeeSha had never known any creature who could stand up to the power of a Destructoid. Soon, their hatred began to turn into respect. Then something happened that no one could've possibly expected. These two godlike, super powered beings that had been trying for so long to destroy each other, started to fall in love.
Darryl was at a loss, he never would have imagined himself falling for an evil villain, but LaKeeSha was even more surprised. No Destructoid had ever experienced love before, yet she couldn't deny the feelings that she had for this hero. Her love for Darryl grew to the point where she actually gave up her evil ways just so they could be together. Love is a superpower that everyone has, and when used the right way it can make the impossible happen, like making the queen of a species that known for being absolutely pure evil change her ways. Eventually Darryl and LaKeeSha's love soon turned into something even more miraculous: new life.
It's true, LaKeeSha gave birth to Darryl's child. However, this was no ordinary child, this was a Cosmos. This child was destined to be Fury's new hero, using his powers to protect the planet from the evil forces that wish to harm it. And this Cosmos was going to be one like no other, for not only did he have the powers of good, but also the powers of evil for the child would also be half Destructoid and posses all of his mother's evil abilities and skills. Sadly though, LaKeeSha wouldn't be around to teach her child how to use his evil abilities for as she was giving birth to her love's child she got horribly sick, soon after she died.
What caused LaKeeSha's death is something that was never determined, regardless, what's done was done. Darryl was devastated but he couldn't mourn for long. He had to raise his newborn child and groom him to be the hero that he was destined to be. Years went by and Darryl trained his child in the art of being a hero. He taught him how to use his powers and how to fight evil. As the child grew it was plain to see that he showed great promise. Darryl was confident that he would grow into a hero, perhaps even greater than himself. Unfortunately, Darryl wouldn't get to see his child grow into a hero either.
One faithful day, a dark day that no one on Fury would ever forget, a great evil appeared the likes of which no one on Fury had ever seen. Many heroes, and even some villains, did everything they could to try to stop this evil from destroying Fury, but it all seemed hopeless. In the end, it all came down to the greatest hero Fury had to offer: Darryl Cosmos. While Darryl did achieve victory over this great evil it came at a terrible price. In order to save Fury, Darryl had to make the ultimate sacrifice. He gave up his life.
While being a hero might seem fun to most people, the sad fact of the matter is not all hero stories have happy endings. But Darryl's death wasn't in vain, for he had left behind something extremely valuable: his son. A successor who possessed both good and evil powers, powers that would make him the most powerful and destructive force that Fury has ever known. This half-breed hero was named Brent Cosmos...that's me.
