merely existing

her whole life
she's existing,
never ceasing
to please.

she breathes
the air
around her
but she doesn't
inhale the oxygen
in them.

she touches
the petals
of a flower
but she doesn't
feel the beauty
in them.

she sees
and hears
things around her
but she doesn't
use her
five senses
at all.

for she is
a body
of lifeless soul,
floating
in plain existence,
seemingly going nowhere.

—she's just merely existing; not living.
