Chapter 17

It was Monday morning, when I arrived at school everyone was staring at me and whispering about me on the corridors. When I went inside our classroom Sanjay blurted at me,

"Look d hoe of de day reach"

Everyone laughed. I had a feeling what was going on because I noticed Clara at her seat with her headphones in and her head down. I tapped her and she looked up at me and cussed me. She also said,

"Don't talk to me ever again, you are NOT my friend."

I had lost my best friend over a stupid thing I did. I went immediately to find the asshole, Tony. I rushed to the form five block and I saw him liming with his friends and they were patting him on the back and high fiving him. He then noticed me walking towards them and said,

"like she wah more," And his friends laughed with him

As I reached by them I shouted,

"Why de ass you tell everybody?! I will kill yuh disgusting self because you have no right to go around de school and treat me like shit"

People started swarming in and observing the bacchanal.

One of his friends said, "D hoe angry now, she cyah get enough dawg...why yuh doh try a ride with me nah"

I lifted my hand to slap that friend and Tony grabbed it and said,

"You neva tell me not to tell anybody, yuh should be glad yuh get some of this, plenty girls wishing for it."

I ran off crying and so angry at not only him but myself...how could I let this happen...he wasn't even worth it.

I had a bad day that day...the one day where everyone's eyes were on me. Surprisingly, Janess didn't say anything to me. I guess she saw that I was in the same position with Toni as she was.

After P.E. which was also horrible and full of unwanted attention, and many remarks from Sanjay such as "I know yuh would struggle with them push ups, is not your type of work out", we all had to freshen up from exercising. I stayed in the shower room for a while after everyone else left, just crying. The girl's shower room was next to the boy's shower room but separated by a thin wall. While I sat down on a bench I heard the voices of Sanjay and Khaleel in the boy's shower room. Khaleel was a dark skinned guy with a short haircut, who was about 5'11 in height and had an Fboy reputation in the school and may have been even more heartless than Tony. He was always sleeping with a different girl all the time and he never had a committed relationship. As I listened in Khaleel said,

"yuh sure?"

"You sure?" said Sanjay back to Khaleel and then the shower turned on.

I then started to hear making out sounds and groans, then the groans got louder. Then Sanjay started moaning in pain. Khaleel had to have been taking Sanjay's virginity! I can't believe this would happen since I did not expect this from Khaleel. Oh my gosh, the screams reminded me of...that night with my dad. I started tearing up again. I then tried wiping my tears and I left because I had to get to my new job.
