Moving day

Dolly's pov:
"And one more box and I'm done mom!" I went back into the house and smiled as I looked around for the last box. I sighed and went upstairs back into my bedroom to see my mom holding the last box tightly as tears fell.

"Mom please don't cry, you knew this was gonna happen at some point..." I sat next to her as she sniffed and softly put her hand on my cheek. I smiled and rested my face in her hand.

"I know...but your my little babygirl...and look at you now! I feel like just yesterday you were in your crib bouncing and babbling momma over and over again..." I smiled more at her and took her other hand.

"It's hard on you mom I know...we've been together since day one...but I promise I'll come back and visit you...I love you and momma Zamo...and of course the little booger's"  we laughed and soon she was holding me close to her.

"Your nineteen...god I can't believe it.." she pulled back to look at me again and smiled lightly.

"Yeah..and your in your early thirties" she rolled her eyes as I laughed.

"Oh be quiet, I'm still young god damnit, now here..." she have me the last box and I smiled down at it.

"I don't even remember packing this..." I raised a brow as I looked on the sides of it to see what I wrote. It said 'Dolly' .

"Mom what did I put in here?" I asked as I looked up at her confused and she smiled brightly at me and took the tape off and opened it. She took out a small baby onesie that looked like a bear. I giggled and looked in the box more.

"I did this box...it has all your baby stuff and memories in here...I have my own for you but I wanted you o have your own...so if you have kids you can give them these..." I smiled widely and hugged her tight.

"Thank you so much mommy...but I have to get going now..." I put everything back closed up the box. I went back downstairs to my car and put the box in the back. I sighed as I closed my trunk and turned back to the house. Momma Zamo, Brian, Katie, and my mom all came out. We all had a group hug before pulling back.

"Why do you have to leaveeee? Who's gonna bring me back McDonald's nowwww" Katie complained as she hugged my leg. I laughed and ruffled up her hair.

"Don't worry, I'll be back to visit before you know it little squirt" I called her little squirt cause one time we were all drinking these sugary fruit drinks momma Zamo got us, Katie squeezed hers too hard and it squirted all over her face.

"But I'm gonna miss you at cuddle timeeee" Brian pouted up at me. I bent down and kissed his cheek smiling.

"I'll always come back for cuddle time...I'll see you soon..." I got back up and smiled at momma Zamo. She came up and gave me a kiss on both cheeks before handing me a gold necklace.

"Here...my mother gave this to me when I moved here...I want to give this to you in remembrance in case I drop dead or your mother kills me" we both laughed as my mom rolled her eyes at us.

"Yeah I'm about to kill you now if you say that again" I giggled and put the necklace on. I gave momma Zamo one last big hug before going back over to my mom. I took a deep breath and smiled at her.

"Well...this is it...I'm heading off to college...without you..." she held back tears and hugged me tightly. It's hard to leave someone like her after I traveled with her everywhere. I've always been by her side...and now I'm leaving her for the first time. We pulled away and I sighed.

"I love you so much momma..." I quickly wiped away a tear as I looked into her slightly dark blue eyes.

"I love you so much my babygirl...now go make momma proud..." I nodded and we gave each other our last goodbye kisses. I pulled away and got in my car. As I pulled out and took one last look at the house, and waved my family goodbye before driving off.

Collage is gonna be tough without the help of my mother by my side, but hopefully I'll figure things out on my own...
