The male was kneeling with one leg, his eyes on the floor. It was what he was supposed to do, keep quiet, listen and act. His master slammed down a hand against the table, but he didn't flinch. Such things didn't surprise him.
"4 days!" "4 days and she's still not dead." The master was in frustration. The princess was still missing, people prayed for her to be alive. Everyone wanted her to be except for her.
"I gave you 4 days and you still haven't deliver me her body." She said, she was ready to throw anything at the man if she wanted to. However, being noble, she had to remain calm.
"Her horse was drenched in blood, I need to see it with my own eyes that she is dead." The queen said, she was hysterical the fact that the princess was still missing, her status unknown.
"My apologies, Your Majesty." He kept his head low. "Listen to me," she suddenly came close and lifted his chin with her paper fan. He met eyes with the Queen, the coldblooded woman who was ruling a kingdom.
Though he was an assassin, he couldn't understand what the people had done wrong to deserve a ruler like her. She was someone who was not in place at all, she didn't belong here and that she knew it as well. It was the only reason why she tried to secure her position as an old queen so badly.
But he wasn't in place to say so. His identity, his origin, he was told to forget, he was a ghost. He was nonexistent and people around him told him so, made him feel so.
"You." The Queen gritted her teeth. "You were alive because I told you so, and you must pay your debt or you'll forever have the part of you locked." She said. The male held the eye contact, he hated her more than anything but he couldn't express it. He wasn't supposed to.
The Queen smiled, her red lips portrayed how much evil she looked. "Therefore, give me the princess' head or I'll chop yours off." She pushed his face slightly and the male went back to lowering his gaze.
"Is that clear, Yuta?"
She asked, her voice clearly coming from behind him. That name, no matter how much he hated it, that was the only thing that truly belonged to him and he hated it that a woman like her called him so.
"Yes, Your Majesty." With that, the door opened and the Queen left. Leaving him alone in her wide chamber. She had a lot to herself, more than he ever did but she was ever so greedy.

Seora opened her eyes, she couldn't recall how she fell asleep after that long journey. However, she found herself in what could be described as a room. A very small one actually, and she assumed this must be the house she would call home afterwards.
She groaned slightly as she felt pain throughout her body when she tried to sit up. It seemed bright outside and she assumed it must've been the afternoon or sort. The room wasn't decorated like hers in the palace, it was very plain and dull.
"Hello."
She almost screamed at the voice. The princess wasn't even done scanning the room and out of the blue there was a child seated next to her the whole time. Seora furrowed her eyebrows slightly as she had never seen this child before, nor did she recall ever meeting one when she came.
Actually, she remembered nothing after arriving in front of the cottage. Strange, she thought. "Hello, my name is Hayoung." The little girl outstretched her small hand. She looked very little, around five she could guess.
Seora looked at the small palm for a while before she decided to shake it and entertain the child. "Mummy told me to wait for you to wake up." The girl spoke, as if reading her mind.
Seora wanted to say something but she was super exhausted to even utter a word. "Is it true that you're sleeping beauty?" She asked and the princess found it the most random question ever. Her exhaustion was giving her headaches as well and the child wasn't much of a help.
"Who told you that?" Seora managed to ask. "Mummy said you were a sleeping beauty but you only slept for four days while sleeping beauty slept for hundred years." She spoke, there was disappointment in her voice the fact that she didn't sleep as long as the princess in that tale.
Only the she realised what Hayoung had said. "Four days?" Seora asked and the girl nodded without hesitation. No wonder she felt so heavy and tired, she literally fainted. "Where is your mummy?" The princess asked.
"She's back to the palace, she said she had work to finish." The girl said. So this is Youngmi's daughter, Seora thought. She heard about this child before, her court lady would tell her stories sometimes when she asked.
Hayoung sounded like a brilliant child and Seora could certainly tell she was one right now. She was also a beauty, even for a child. Youngmi gave birth to a wonderful child indeed. Seora found herself smiling softly at the girl.
"Is it true that you're a princess like sleeping beauty?"
She suddenly whispered, with one hand covering the side of her mouth. Seora chuckled. "I was a princess, not anymore." She smiled rather sadly. "Why not?" The girl asked, her eyebrows furrowed as she clearly wasn't understanding.
"Because sleeping beauty wasn't a princess until she got married to a prince." Seora replied. "And I haven't married, so I'm just a normal girl." The princess replied. She had a soft spot for children and Hayoung was certainly one of them.
"Then, why do you have a tiara?" She asked pointing her small hand to the top of her head. Seora went over to touch it, only then she realised she was still in her wedding dress, her tiara was still there, her hair might be messy but it was still how it was styled for the wedding.
"Oh this? Your mother will take it and return it to the palace." She explained but it only left more questions for the child. "Mummy? Why would she do that?" She asked. "Because I'm playing hide and seek from the prince and if he wants to marry me, he would have to find me. Only then, I can be a princess again." Seora smiled softly.
The girl pouted her lips and hummed. "Okay then." She smiled. "But don't tell anyone, this would be our secret. We have to hide from the prince." Seora extended her pinky and immediately, the girl locked her small finger with the princess.
"You can call me Eunmi, let's be friends."
