Seora heard a knock on her door, she had no energy to call for the person to come in but they eventually did.

She didn't bother to look as she assumed it might be one of the maids, serving her food. She didn't even know the time, she had skipped so much. She lost appetite, she was unsettled in what she was supposed to do.

"Wow! Your room is so huge, you really are a princess!"

At the sound of the voice, she instantly got up from her bed to look at the door. Seora had never felt so happy as she allowed Hayoung to run towards her. Seora instantly embraced her, the source of little happiness at the time.

The princess felt like crying again, but she held it in. "Oh, I missed you so much." She hugged the little girl tightly. Hayoung did the same as well though her eyes were everywhere in the room, she was too excited to see around.

"She had been asking to see you all week."

At the voice, the princess broke the hug and walked out of her bed. She went to embrace her true friend, Youngmi.

It has been a week that she locked herself inside her chamber. She didn't have the need to leave, even when Taeyong came to see her to ask about the punishment for those people, she refused to give her say.

Youngmi had a distant look, Seora just knew she was going to nag on how she looks skinny and all that. Her motherly instinct sometimes were too much for her.

"How's Jaehyun doing?"

She asked. At the mention of his name, she recalled how he almost died right in front of her eyes. The memory was still there, it was as if she was going through it again.

Youngmi gave her a reassuring smile. "He's doing fine." She said as she held onto the princess' arm. "What about you, my lady?" She asked. Seora wanted to smile at first but she found herself so fragile again.

The princess leaned her head on the court lady's shoulder as she found herself crying, yet at something she couldn't undo.

Knowing her, Youngmi placed an arm around her shoulders and stroked her hair, like a mother would. "I lost everything." She sobbed. "No, don't think that." Youngmi reassured her.

"My mother, my father." She paused as she tried to catch a breath. "—and Yuta..." she finished. Mentioning his name clenched her heart, it was so complicated to shut off the feelings.

She knew he was being kept in the palace, she could always see him but what would she say? Would he even want to see her? Youngmi only learned about this after Jaehyun told her. Though she was surprised as well, but she knew she couldn't stop the princess.

"Your Majesty, the princess."

The palace guard bursted in Taeyong's room and paused. It was suspense, Taeyong was awfully worried with the tone he was using. He put down his book and looked at the male, waiting for him to finish.

"She's gone."

Taeyong stayed silent for a minute, everyone else had to wait for his order to take action. He tried to make her leave her chamber various times throughout the week but it never worked.

She was mourning, she was afraid and he could read through her. He could foresee that she was capable to do many things but running away wasn't one of them. She had no reason to.

"Search for her, in the palace and in town. She cannot have gone far." He said and immediately everyone else left the room.

There were so many possibilities of her destination. He had to guess which was the correct one. It was somehow nostalgic, Seora used to isolate herself like this back when they were younger.

He remembered how his father told him that he must make friends with the princess. Being obedient, Taeyong never thought about it much. He decided his very best to be appealing to the princess but it took him much more than that to properly know her.

Seora was timid, even for a princess. She often dwell in her past rather than moving on. At times, she would overlook every positivity she had around her, thinking she was the centre of bad luck.

That's it, he thought. Seora wasn't the type to move on so quickly. There was only one logical place he could think of. Taeyong thought of this as a challenge, he wanted to know if Seora was the same girl he knew inside out.

Other than wanting to console her, he wanted to test himself if she was still the same girl he knew, even after months of living as a different person.

He decided to head alone, eventhough the guards insisted to accompany him. Taeyong knew better that Seora wouldn't open herself easily if there were other people.

The prince headed to where the king's grave was, uphill behind the palace. It wasn't far, but by foot it would be tiring. He made sure to walk as well, he knew the princess would scold him if they were to return together on a horse, she disliked attention.

Upon reaching the place, he could see her from afar. She wasn't facing the tombstone, she was seated with her knees close to her chest and she faced the scenery below the hill. Her hair was left untied, with no accessories, it only meant she really sneaked out.

"I knew I'd find you here." He said trying to amuse or even surprise her. "Did you?" She asked without sparing him a glance. "Or was it a lucky guess?" She asked again, her eyes fixed on the scenery upfront.

Taeyong took a seat next to her, he tried to stare at the same scenery. "Oh, come on. I deserve a praise." He tried to joke but the girl wasn't quite amused.

He wanted to know what was bothering her though he could wildly guess what it was anyway. He missed having these conversations with her, the whole time she was gone, he felt as if he lost many things. A fiancée, a friend.

"The execution is tomorrow."

He said, glancing her a look in which she had no reaction upon. "You are aware that you are obliged to attend, right?" He asked. Seora buried her face into her knees, she didn't want to imagine how it would be carried out tomorrow.

Of course, she hated the queen so much for murdering her parents, but the thought of taking her life would make her no different than the queen. That wasn't all, she might not have the strength at all to watch and pretend as if she didn't mind what they do to Yuta.

"Don't do this to me, I hate violence." She said, trying to hide her true fears. "It's the law, my lady." The prince reasoned, he wasn't lying. "We have to announce your return soon enough." He added.

That was another matter that bothered her. Once the people knew about her return, they council would rush for an immediate wedding. They would claim that the country needs their rulers, and it can only officially happen if the king is married.

If before, she didn't mind the idea of getting married at all as she knew Taeyong and was actually affectionate for him, but now. It was all different, she met new people and she had a change of heart.

The only problem there is, she couldn't tell the prince so. She was afraid, she didn't want to lose more people in her life. She feared that he might despise her. She was also afraid he might feel betrayed, after everything he had done for her. However, she didn't want to live in a lie.
