The princess got out of her chamber, accompanied with her maids and the guards as they all headed to where the execution was supposed to take place.
Taeyong made sure it wasn't publicised, he hadn't inform everyone else about Seora's return and though he hated the queen, he had mercy on her pride still. He sneaked a look in her direction, to ensure she was okay. Eventhough she gave him a small smile, he still felt sorry she had to stay and watch.
Seora looked at the queen. Her stepsister wasn't sentenced to death, she was being thrown out of country instead as she never participated in any murder. The princess couldn't say anything, she hated the woman so much.
She wanted to scream and pull her hair out, but she couldn't, she could only look at her with tears forming in her eyes.
However the queen, even at this state didn't even look sorry. She had an arrogant smug as she looked directly at the princess. She was so prideful, even death sentence wasn't something she would fear.
"Would you really watch my death?" The queen suddenly spoke to the princess. The guards wanted to stop her from looking in the princess' direction, but Seora held up a hand to stop them.
She took a step closer to the queen. "You're just like me." She said, and gave a crooked smile. At the words, it boiled her blood. She didn't want to give a death sentence, she didn't want to think that she was anything like the queen.
The princess glared at the queen and took a breath, she was fuming with anger to even face the woman. "No, I am nothing like you. I will never be." She said, her heart was beating wildly as she had never felt such anger.
"You might've taken everything from me, but I'm still standing. They were just a part of me, the real person is right in front of you and she will watch, as she takes everything that you failed to build."
Seora clenched her fist as she said so, she looked at the queen one last time before she took a step back. Though at first she felt quite nauseous to watch but the anger blinded her, she ended up looking at the queen as she consumed the poison.
However, the frail hearted princess could only watch the first few seconds. She ended up looking away, she couldn't even stand listening to the woman's cry of pain from the poison that was burning her from the inside.
She felt dizzy soon enough and decided to head back. Seora knew she wouldn't have the heart to watch Doyoung's and Yuta's. She might even faint.

"Is it over?"
Seora asked as soon as she heard the door to her chamber opened, she didn't bother to look up who it was. She assumed it might've been Youngmi as she was the most worried one with her almost all the time.
"Yes, their bodies have been buried." The voice was different. It wasn't a lady's, nonetheless it was someone she knew.
Taeyong walked up to the small corner in her room where she'd always busy herself to read. The princess was known to love literature a lot, she preferred books than adventure, saying both gives the same thrills regardless.
"I'm sorry I had to leave." She said apologetically as she closed her diary and looked in the prince's direction. "It doesn't matter, I'm sorry you had to watch something you despise." He replied.
The two then fell into silence. There were a lot to discuss with one another yet neither of them knew which one to bring up, which was the most appropriate one.
Seora had the need to tell him how her feelings had change. She needed to tell him soon, she didn't want them to be caught up in a difficult situation later on, but the sole problem is that she couldn't bring herself to do it.
She trusted that Taeyong would respect her but she was nonetheless afraid that he might actually leave her on her own. Yuta wasn't around anymore, he's gone for the sins he did and she couldn't save him.
Certainly, she cried as soon as she came into her room. She cried as she couldn't even say goodbye to him. Seora had so many regrets, but she was certain she never regret meeting him. She hoped all those she experienced with him was never pretended, at least it wasn't on her side.
However, she didn't want to lie about her feelings to Taeyong. She didn't want to freely shift her feelings just because she needed to, she wasn't that selfish, she wasn't cruel. Still, Seora could almost tell that deep down inside maybe she was meant to be alone. Everyone just leaves.
The prince on the other hand knew something was odd the moment she returned to him. Her slightest change in behaviour, her new habits, he took it all to account that she had truly become someone new somehow.
At first, he doubted his own assumptions, and he knew he couldn't ask her. He didn't dare to bring up such sensitive topic, not when she wasn't in her best mindset.
So, he asked for confirmation elsewhere. Her bodyguard, the one who seek help from him in the first place. Jaehyun. The knight of course gave him an indefinite answer at first, but Taeyong had his ways of twisting the words and eventually the half-truth came out.
He knew, the feelings they shared before had somehow faded. It wasn't the same, the excitement wasn't there anymore. The affection had stepped down, he knew. Yet, he was selfishly in love with her, but he would never force it on her.
All he needed now, was the other half-truth from her. He was willing to wait, until she opens up to him herself. He thought in the mean time, he would try to win her heart even if it might be the most difficult task he had to carry.
