Present Day (The Walking Dead New Frontier Timeline)
"Locke, we have contacts approaching through the main streets to Richmond, looks a New Frontier patrol. Should we engage" asked my right hand commander, Clay.
I looked out the window of a building over looking the streets below and the towards the New Frontier patrol. "Negative Clay, the last thing we need is a firefight with these guys. We already lost lives hitting that last patrol last week" I said.
I continued to look at the approaching patrol arriving at the gates of Richmond, the perfect safe zone from the herds of walkers. To bad the New Frontier controlled it. There was no way we could take it from them. New Frontier outnumbered Phoenix Squadron by a huge margin. We had a forth of the forces they had.
The only advantage my Phoenix Squadron had was my discovery of the strange new technology I discovered during my time after finishing my training at the jedi temple. This technology was strangely unique when I discovered it. I remember it to this day. The force guided me to a hidden facility in the ruins of New York. The facility was buried underground in sewers swarming with walkers.
Inside the facility, I discovered advanced weapons and tactical gear more advanced than anything the modern world built before the outbreak. I never discovered the origin of the technology but gladly took it and studied away. It took months for me to understand but eventually I cracked it. Not long after I formed Phoenix Squadron to target evil groups of people such as the New Frontier. That's how we ended up in Richmond.

"Boss, we better get back to base. I don't think we're gonna find a way in Richmond today" said Clay. "Roger that Clay, let's go" I said. I packed my gear and left the building. I eventually regrouped with my squad. I could see Clay and my men waiting for me. "Another day... and no progress. Locke, getting in Richmond might not be an option" said Clay.
"We don't have a choice Clay. If we don't get in soon, the other settlements across the region will be attacked by them. They already got Prescott, I don't want the other settlements suffering that" I said. I turned around and looked to the stars, as if I was trying to find hope.
Clay put his hand on my arm. "Will follow you wherever you go. Your a jedi and a damn good leader. Whatever happens, we do it together". I looked to him and smiled then looked at the rest of my group.
"I remember people just like you guys. I remember Lee, Clementine, Kenny, and so many others that took care of me. They helped make my future and now I want to make yours. We will take Richmond, when I don't know but we will" I said. I then pulled out my lightsabers I had built at the jedi temple when I completed my training. I had given my old lightsaber to Clementine when I left her and young AJ at Wellington to completely jedi training.

I raised my right hand and ignited the blade then looked at my group. "We are one, we are many. This squad is the beacon of hope to those in fear. In the time I have spent with each and every one of you. I've learned to see you more than friends, but as brothers and sisters". I put my blade down and continued to looking at them. Each and every member never took there eyes off me.
"We're family, that's something truly special about us, about Phoenix Squadron. I know are time in Richmond hasn't been pleasant. We've lost many siblings here. But we can't give up, we must fight for them and for the better future" I said. I then turned off my blade and continued to look at the group. "And we will... as a family" said Clay.
"For Phoenix Squadron" one of the group members yelled. The rest of the group joined in. "Alright guys, quiet down. We don't want walkers finding us" I said. "Come on, let's go back home"
We all then left the broken and ruined streets of the once prospering city and headed home.
I've decided to add Kraang weaponry into this story. If this goes well I will expand upon Locke's discovery explained in this chapter. The Kraang will have an appearance but only them, there will be no other elements from TMNT, not even the Turtles. I hope you all are enjoying this. I decided the New Frontier would be a good spot to develop Locke and his group, the Phoenix Squadron.
