Chapter 24 : Storms and Walkers

Present Day (The Walking Dead New Frontier Timeline)

"There... take out that group" I ordered. Clay and two other Phoenix Squadron members readied there blasters and fired at the group of walkers.

"Sir... we have a group trying to break in the hospital. The people there look like they need help" said Sam. "I can not tell you happy it is to here your voice again bro" I said. "Like wise Locke... now get to the hospital" said Sam.

I activated my lightsabers and charged the last few walkers in our way. I aimed for there heads and one bye one, they fell to the ground. "Clay, let's move. Hospital needs our help" I ordered. "Got it boss" Clay replied.

We moved through the streets, cutting and shooting down any walkers that were in our way. It had been raining and thundering ever since we had moved back onto the street. I didn't mind though, the sound of the storm sounded beautiful and made the nightmare we were currently in, more relaxing.

On our way through the streets, I saw a familiar face. It was none other than Conrad. "Holly shit man, you're still alive" I asked with joy. He turned around and ran to me and my group. "I totally wanted to just sleep. Then shit went down and I came out here to help" said Conrad. "We could all use sleep right about now" I said.

"We're on our way to the hospital. You wanna give us a hand" I asked. Clay handed me a phoenix blaster and I then gave it to Conrad. "Thought your boy said these weren't for grabs" Conrad asked looking at Clay. "We don't normally like  doing it but I think you've earned it. We can trust you" I said with a smile. "Appreciate that Locke" Conrad replied.

"Thank me later. We need to get to the hospital" I said. I ran passed him and darted to the hospital, the others followed behind me. When we got to the street of the hospital, before us, stood a large group of walkers. They were not to far from breaking into the hospital. The front door was on the verge of snapping off it's hinges.

"Take them out" I ordered. Phoenix Squadron stopped and immediately began firing at the walkers.

They took noticed and began walking in our direction. "Permission to activate sonic blasters sir" asked Locke. "Denied, we don't want to draw all the damn things towards us" I said.

"I really hope Javi gets here soon" I remarked. Just as I said that, a few walkers approached from my right. There growls and moans were loud, begging to get there hands on me. I approached them and pierced the first walker in the chest. I then ran my blade up till it exited his head.

The others tried to close me but were to late. I leaped and spanned in a circle with both my lightsabers. There heads fell off and with there bodies falling shortly after. "Locke... we just received word from Max. Javi and Kate are entering Richmond now" said Sam over my com. I looked over in the hospital's direction, Phoenix Squadron was finishing the last of the walkers.

"Good, we'll rendezvous back in the main plaza" I said. I walked over to Clay. "Javi's here with the prize"

"It's about fucking time. I don't think we can take much more of this herd" Clay said in excited laughter. "Phoenix Squadron, follow me" I ordered. We ran from the hospital and towards the main plaza. As we got closer, the walkers grew in number. I killed everyone of them that was in my way with my lightsaber.

"Boss I see Javi. The gate over there" Clay yelled as he was pointing at the entrance to Richmond. "Finally, lets get this over with" I said. The walkers around us started walking towards the gate, attracted by the noise of the moving bulldozer.

I jumped high in the air and into a group of walkers. As they began to surround me I cut them all with my lightsabers. Phoenix Squadron took initiative and fired away at the walkers as well. I turned in the direction of the hole in the wall that Joan had created and pushed forward.

The walkers were increasingly attracted to me. My lightsabers glow and noise was to much for the walkers to not ignore. They could do little to hurt me though. With my lightsabers, the walkers will have an impossible chance reaching me. Every walker that got in front of me, I attacked and put to the ground.

I always did what I knew was best and aimed for the heads of the walkers. I even managed some cut in half, head to toe.

The bulldozer got closer to me and I backed up to greet its driver. Kate was driving it while Javi was protecting the vehicle with an assault rifle. "Long time no see Javi" I said. I deactivated my lightsabers and pulled out my phoenix blaster. I shot three walkers that were in front of the bulldozer and fired at the rest in the distance.

"Good to see you too Locke. Looks like you've been busy" said Javi. A horse suddenly passed me and ran into a few walkers. The man on top of the horse had a sword and hit a few walkers with it.

"Wait... where the hell did you all get horses" I asked. The man on the horse then turned around and drew the attention of some walkers to his right. Looks like there trying to gather them up. "You remember Jesus. He came back to lend us a hand" said Javi.

"Well I'll be damned. Thank god" I said. Kate then drove forward to move towards the hole. Javi fired relentlessly at the walkers that surrounded him. I climbed on the other side of the bulldozer and fired at the walkers on my side.

"Good to see you in one piece Locke" said Kate. "Glad you all are ok too. I was worried you'd never make it back" I said. A walker grabbed my leg and started pulling me off. I griped the side of the bulldozer and aimed my blaster at it. I shot it in the head and it released me.

"This damn day... is getting on my nerves" I said with a chuckle.

The sound of a vehicle drew my attention and I turned around to see who it was, it was Tripp. He drove the truck in front of us and immediately got out. He grabbed an assault rifle out of the truck and shot at the walkers as he moved to us. "Alright Javi, work your damn magic" yelled Tripp.

"Wait... what are you up to" I asked. Kate smiled at me and drove the bulldozer forward. She activated the controls and picked up the truck with the bulldozer's shovel. "What the hell" I said. "Just go with it" Kate replied.

"If you say so Kate. Move forward" I yelled. This ridiculous plan better work.
