Present Day (The Walking Dead New Frontier Timeline)

"I can't believe that fucking worked" I said as I hopped down from the bulldozer.

"That's it. Let's get out of here" Javi yelled. He and Kate got out of the bulldozer after me. I was already running back to regroup with Phoenix Squadron.

"Clay, status report" I ordered. Clay finished gunning down a walker and then turned around to face me. "Status is green. Those horseback riders are drawing out the rest of the herd outside of Richmond's main gate"

"Jesus and his damn horses. Who would have known" I said with a chuckle. Clay put his hand on my left shoulder and we both watched as the remaining walkers left the streets. "So that's what that guys name was. Well Jesus and his men sure came in handy" said Clay. "You got that right old friend" I replied.

Javi and Kate walked over to us. "Looks like this... difficult dilemma is finally over" said Javi. I punched him in his arm, a little more forceful then I intended. "You came here at the perfect time" I said.

Jesus came over to us on his horse. He looked full of questions... most likely about all the walkers that had gotten in. "I thought we were coming back to... well not to this" he said. We all turned to the dead walker corpses behind us.

"We ehh... ran into some technical difficulties" I said with a slight chuckle. "Now that's the understatement of the year" Javi replied. "That's certainly one way to put it" said Jesus.

"Guys look, it's Clem" said Kate. To our left, Clementine was walking to us. She was holding up Gabe by his left arm. He looks to be in pretty bad shape. I walked over to her to help with Gabe.

"Is he..." Javi asked, fearing Gabe had bitten. "No no, he's fine. He's just banged up" Clementine reassured.

"Where's David" I asked. Clementine looked away from us, confirming his fate. "There car got overrun with walkers and crashed. I was barely able to save Gabe" said Clementine. "Damn... well at least Gabe is ok" I said.

"When I got there, David turned had turned. Gabe had to stop him" said Clementine. "I'm sorry you had to go through that Gabe... that must have been horrible" I said. Gabe looked up to Javi. This poor kid has been through a lot. "Javi..." said Gabe.

Javi kneeled down to him to try and comfort him. "I know, buddy. He's gone" said Javi. "No, no. He wanted me to tell you... take care of each other" said Gabe. Javi looked away from Gabe, clearly having a hard time coping with his brother's last words. "Where did you find them" Kate asked. "A little ways outside of town. Not too far" Clementine replied.

"Can you and Locke take Gabe somewhere safe" Kate asked us. "We can do that. I'll have medic check on him" I said. Kate walked passed us and motioned for Javi to follow. "Come on Javi" she said.

Javi left us to go with Kate. I helped Clementine get Gabe to the nearest building shortly after. As soon as we entered inside I helped her put Gabe down on a table. Clay had entered and brought Ava with him. "How is he doing" asked Clay.

"He's not in good shape. The car he was in crashed and he's a little banged up. I don't think he's severely injured but I figured you could help" I said. Clay walked over to Gabe'a table and pulled out his medical kit. "I'll see what I can do. From what I see now, some rest might be his number one option though" said Clay.

"Is Sam and the others at our base on there way" I asked. "Yes, they'll be here momentarily" said Clay. I walked back over to the door and put my hand on it. "Good, once there here. Call for a meeting. Bring the New Frontier as well" I said. "You got it boss" said Clay. "I'll help with the New Frontier" said Ava. I nodded my head at them to confirm, and left the building.

Not surprisingly, Clementine followed me right after and rushed to me. "So, what's your next move" she asked. I grabbed her hand and pulled her closer to me as we walked through the streets. "Right now, fix thing up here a little then head off back to New York. It's time to get to the bottom of this" I said. Clementine looked sad when I said that, clearly not wanting to lose me again. I pulled her into a hug and she embraced me back.

"I promise you... when this is all over, I'm gonna find you" I said. We released each other and stared into one another's eyes.

"AJ is important to you and he is to me. But I want him to live in a safe world, one where this hell we're in isn't his own" I said as moved my right hand to her face. She smiled and grabbed my hand on her face and held it close. "I'm holding you to that... because AJ better see his dad"

"We're not exactly his parents you know" I said to her. "Don't ruin this... we're a family to him" Clementine said. "Ohh I know" I replied.

"You know if AJ grows up like you. This world is in trouble" said Clementine. "That is a statement that applies to you alone little one" I said with a little laughter. Clementine pulled me to her and kissed me, a little longer than the previous one.

"I swear to god. You two are unbelievable" said Tripp who was walking over to us. Clementine let go of me and looked at Tripp with absolutely no embarrassment. "Give it a rest big guy. That was long overdue" said Clementine.

"I won't disagree with you on that" said Conrad, who was approaching from our left. He deactivated the phoenix blaster we had given him and put it in his back. "Love birds in the damn tunnels and now, love birds in the streets covered with dead walker corpses" Conrad said with a hilarious smile.

"Conrad shit, I thought you were fucking dead" said Tripp. He gave Conrad a quick bro hug. "It was hard but I pulled though. I thought you died too man" said Conrad. Tripp laughed a little before looking back at me and Clementine. "Almost did. I got stuck on a fucking bridge with a lot of walkers. But Clementine had Locke's old lightsaber and shot all the damn things. Which by the way, you have good fucking aim" said Tripp.

"I learned from the best" said Clementine. I remember when Lee taught her how to shoot. "Always aim for the head" I said to her. We both smiled at each other before looking back at Tripp an Conrad.

"After that, Javi told me about the truck we originally had and I went back here to grab it. That's how we magically sealed the damn wall" said Tripp. He and Conrad walked away from us, continuing to talk about the day we all had.

"This would make a fine home for AJ" I pointed out to Clem. She wrapped here her around me. "Maybe..." she whispered. It finally feels nice, for everything to be over.

Conclusion to the Richmond conflict. I'm glad to be coming to a hault to the New Frontier story as I'm looking forward to writing my next story set in TWD THE FINAL SEASON which has quickly become my favorite Walking Dead game of all time. Seriously, that season is a masterpiece and is a great way to end the prized Telltale story. Until next time, folks.
