Present Day (The Walking Dead New Frontier Timeline)
"That's a whole lot of walkers. Damn, the streets are crawling with them" I said. I was looking over the edge of the roof of the tall building we were on. "You haven't seen nothing... the damn things are knocking on every door down there. It's a fucking mess" said Tripp.
"I have to fix this..." I said. I turned around to the others and looked at them with determination. "We have to fix this... the people don't deserve to pay for Joan's actions"
"We'll be right by your side" said Javi as he approached me. "We all will. It's the right thing to do" said Kate. David however wasn't on the band wagon. He wanted nothing more than to leave Richmond behind... especially after what happened with Joan. "David..." I began. "Don't worry about me... come on. Let's get to the garage, we have a bulldozer that will help" said David.
"We should take the highway. It leads straight to where we need to go" said Ava. I walked passed the group and looked towards the garage and the beaten down highway. I then looked to the building in front of me and noticed the metal stairway on the side.
The door to the roof suddenly slammed open and Clay came out. He was out of breath and slowly walked in my direction. "What's wrong" asked Clementine. "Boss, we've got a problem" he said. "Did the walkers get in" I asked. "No... it's something else" said Clay. He didn't continue, he must want to talk in private.
"Javi, get to the garage" I said. "But what about you" he asked. "I'll be fine. Just go and get that bulldozer. I'll defend Richmond on the inside, just make sure you get here" I said. Javi acknowledged hesitantly and headed for the stairway. The others followed except for Clementine and Ava. "Locke..." Clementine said softly. I walked to her and gave her a hug. "Keep that lightsaber with you. You'll need it" I said. I pulled away and kissed her quickly.
"Don't worry about me. Keep an eye on David though, he's losing it" I said. We parted from each other. "Don't die on me... my jedi" she said with a small smile.
"I'll stay with you Locke, in case you need backup" said Ava. "Thanks for the assistance" I said to her. Clementine waved to me and then jumped on the stairway to catch up with the others. "Stay safe... little one" I whispered.
I turned to Clay to see what was wrong. "What's going on" I asked. "Our scanners are picking up an unknown foreign transmission outside the city" said Clay.
"Is it still active" I asked. "Yes... I darted to find you as soon as I picked it up" he said as he pulled out his tactical pad. He walked to me and showed me the active transmission. "It's been active for a couple of minutes now" said Clay. "Get the source, I want to know where it's coming from" I ordered.
"Scanning now" he said as he pressed a button on his device. We waited for a little bit before the source location popped up. Clay gasped a little when he looked at the pad. "Boss..." he said. I grabbed the pad and looked at it.
"Ohh shit" I said. I dropped the pad and walked to the edge of the roof. "What is it" asked Ava. I looked out in the distance with a new growing fear. "That transmission is coming from New York... TCRI" I said. "You mean the aliens that Joan was mentioning" asked Ava. "Yes..." I said.
It's getting more interesting for the last jedi. As I said in my last chapter, I do plan to do a sequel to this story which will focus on the threat of the Kraang. There will be flashbacks that explain and outline the conflict with the sinister aliens and the eventual fall of Richmond which will probably never be talked about in TWD The Final Season game unfortunately. There will be two or three survivors of the fallen Phoenix Squadron with the last jedi and they will regroup with Clementine at the school. The Kraang will be defeated in the flashbacks of my story but there will be a decent size of survivors. They will be another obstacle that Clementine and Locke will have to deal with. I do look forward to writing the next book and I'm looking forward to adding a few new twist, especially in the flashbacks. I'll drop a subtle hint for the sequel of my story. These are the potential planatary defense weapons Richmond and the Phoenix Squadron will have to use in the last major battle against the Kraang...
