"Absolutely Clueless" by Jasmine is about a boy named Austin, who is in love with his best friend, Cara. However, there is one major problem: she thinks he's a homosexual.
This story caught my eye with its amazing cover, created by the author herself. The simplicity along with gorgeous Dave Franco with his hands in his pockets is enough to make a girl swoon. Jasmine vividly shapes out the first scene with colorful descriptions. By the second paragraph, you can already tell that the narrator, Austin, is going to be witty and sarcastic: all the right qualities for a comedic main character. Reading the first chapter, you come to the conclusion that Austin likes to talk to himself a lot. Plus, we can't forget this precious line:
"She's getting whore all over my hair. She's getting whore all over my hair!"'
Besides, we all know that after the first chapter, gay or not, we would totally marry Austin. Currently, the story only has six chapters, which isn't enough to feed my need for Austin's creative point of view. In my opinion, I believe Jasmine pulled of writing from a male's perspective quite well, and still managed to keep a very fresh sense of humor without mentioning any fart jokes-- well, maybe one. I look forward to new chapters, and hope for more of one of Quotev's great romantic comedies.
