Chapter Two: Dimples
It was around 11:00pm when I had finished unpacking. My new room was nice enough, a lot smaller than my bedroom back at home but big enough. The double bed was already made with black and white sheets and the wardrobe was big enough for all my clothes thankfully. I had my own bathroom which meant I didn't have to worry about people finding things I hid in there that I didn't want to be found. Karen was lovely, Michael was lovely, and they were both making a massive effort to help me feel at home. Karen had attempted to make dinner but it didn't turn out too well, let's just say even Michael wouldn't eat it and from what I recall he wasn't the type to turn down something edible. Karen had then sent me off to unpack and said we could order pizza when I was done, and here I was.
I decided to change into leggings and an All Time Low tank top with my favourite, comfiest sweatshirt on top. Throwing my hair into a messy bun, I quietly made my way down the stairs but before I even reached the hallway I heard laughter and voices. Male voices. Multiple male voices. Multiple loud male voices. This was totally not something I was the slightest bit comfortable with, a load of strangers, but before I could sneak back upstairs, I was caught.
"Lissy? Is that you?" Michael called. Maybe I could just not reply and he would think he was mistaken.
"WHAT THE FUCK MAN? You aren't supposed to kill ME YOU BLOODY IDIOT," someone yelled, making me jump. The shout was followed by a loud thud and more laughter. Before I could turn around and go back to the safety of my room, the door to the living room swung open and Michael stood there grinning.
"I thought I heard you," he said, "come on, I've got some people for you to meet."
Shit shit shit shit shit.
"Oh erm no... no, I, um, I don't want to interrupt," I said quickly, turning around to head back upstairs but it was too late, someone else had appeared beside Michael in the doorway. He was gorgeous to say the least, his blonde hair pushed up into a quiff and his piercing blue eyes looking me up and down as he bit his lip. Hot damn. That lip ring. I was just about ready to pass out, and then he spoke and his silky deep voice made me feel even more lightheaded.
"Holy crap. Where've you been hiding her Mike?"
Michael punched him lightly, laughing. "Dude, no. Don't go there. This is the cousin I was telling you guys about."
Another mind-blowingly good looking boy popped up next to them. His naturally tan skin was practically going and his wide smile made me dizzy. Those biceps. Oh my.
"Hey, I'm Calum. It's definitely very very good to meet you."
Then he winked.
Oxygen. Where is oxygen. Where did it go. There is none. How does breathing work again?
Just when I thought things couldn't get any better, yet another stranger appeared. Wow. Like. Seriously. Wow. Oh my Jesus. If those first two were hot, this guy was a god. No joke. He was tall (but then I'm five foot two so everyone is tall compared to me), his curly hair unbrushed, an earphone in one ear which made me wonder what he was listening to, and the most fucking spectacular smile I had ever seen in my whole entire life. His teeth were straight and white and his grin seemed a little too big for his gorgeous face, but in a good way. The best bit was his dimples. Those dimples, oh my. Was it weird that I had a really strong urge to poke them? And then his eyes, holy cow, they were the most beautiful hazel colour, flecks of green catching the light as he smiled even wider when we made eye contact. His muscles flexed as he crossed his arms and leaned back a little to get a better look at me. His eyes looked me up and down a few times before he winked.
Holy fucking crap toasting shitballs.
Calum's wink had nothing on this.
I need to lie down.
"...Lissy? Lissy... FELICITY?!" Michael's voice snapped me out of my thoughts and I heard the beautiful boy chuckle as I forced myself to look at Michael instead.
"Uh.. uhm, what?" Nice one Lissy. Now they're all gonna think you're stupid. Why are you so goddamn awkward.
Michael raised one eyebrow at me. "You alright?"
"I-I'm fine," I stammered. Pull yourself together. "Yeah, yeah I'm good. I'm Lissy, nice to meet you all."
I was actually pretty impressed with myself. Despite the fact I was trembling like a leaf and probably had my very best rabbit-in-the-headlights look on at the moment, I'd managed a full coherent sentence in front of these three works of art.
Michael opened the living room door wider and the boys wandered over to the seats. Calum sat on the armchair with his legs stretched out on the floor in front of him and Michael and the boy with the lip ring both stretched out on a sofa each, leaving no space. The third boy, the hottest one, was sitting on the loveseat in the corner of the room.
"Take a seat kiddo," Michael called out to me, seeing me standing awkwardly in the doorway. I glanced around the room looking for space.
Just my luck, the only seat with any room was the loveseat. I slowly made my way over and took a seat, trying to keep my breathing steady which was difficult in such close proximity to what I could only assume was in fact a god. Maybe an angel.
"I'm Ashton."
