Day Thirty-Four:

...

Chresanto.

 ...

''Good morning.'' I mumbled under my breath. Karen glanced at me, smiled, and returned the gesture. I was about to get up until i remembered about last night. I turned on my side to see Karen rubbing her eyes with the back of her hand.

''Karen..'' I confronted.

''Yes?'' She asked. Distracted by her nails, she sat up and looked at me. I was just now noticing the hazel eyes that shimmered from the suns reflection.

''Uh, did you... happen to hear what i said yesterday? Before you fell asleep?'' I asked. She shook he head no, and looked confused.

''No, i didn't. Was it important?''

''No. Well yes. I wanted to ask you if you wanted to be-,''

I heard my name being called, which interrupted me from asking Karen. For the fourth time. I sighed and pulled myself up before peeping out of the tent. I saw Clyde, his facial hair a little outgrown, who was dragging Kevin on the sand.

Kevin looked messed up and he wasn't even moving. ''What the..'' I mumbled and walked out of the tent. Followed by Karen.

''What happened?'' Karen asked.

I began to clap my hands in happiness, but the others looked remorseful. ''What?'' I question. They glanced at me before dropping Kevin on the wet sand. I'm surprised the water didn't reach us at night. We were a little close to it.

''..I found him on the sand somewhere close to my tent. He's still breathing so he's just unconscious.''

I cheered, but both of them just gave me a warning face. Looks like i'm the only one who enjoyed this. Clyde walked up to me and asked if i'd told Karen my question. I wasn't compelled to do it but it seems like i was.

''Well i was until you called me 'cause of this.''

He gave me a shocked expression. ''Oh shi-damn man! I'm sorry! I interrupted your lovin'. A'ight, i'll leave for a few minutes.''

I laughed, ''Chill. She fell asleep on me last night when i only told her less then half of the things i wanted to tell her. But i'll just straight up ask her. If she say no, then-,''

''Then what? Drown yo'self?'' He laughed hard at his own joke. I smacked his head to get him to quit his foolishness.

''And i suppose you're single?'' I crossed my arms.

He shrugged. ''Yeah but, i'll look for the perfect person.''

''Hope you don't get rejected.''

''Ha, you're funny. Me, Clyde will never get rejected in his entire life. The perfect girl, or guy, will come to me. Unlike your situation.''

I forgot Clyde was bisexual, but it doesn't phase me much. He's real chill. I looked over at Karen to see her trying to catch some fish over at the less shallow area. I should probably help her. I told Clyde to leave and he brushed me off, leaving me to laugh.

''Hey, Karen? Nice to see you.'' I said.

''Yeah i wish i could say the same.''

I walked over to her and she stood up, wiping her hands on her pants. You need any help?'' I questioned. ''Yeah. I'm not really good with these. You seem like an expert.'' She smiled.
