"So I just climb into bed with you?"
"Might be better if you wore my shirt though."
Dan turns pink as Phil fishes in his drawer and pulls out a long flannel.
"This is what girls call 'the boyfriend shirt'"
Phil throws it at Dan and he reflexively catches it. "I think we're going to far with this."
"Do you want your locket back or not?" When Dan doesn't respond he smiles, "that's what I thought, now put it on."
Dan hesitates a little before he sighs and grabs the hem of his own shirt. He was about to pull it up when he noticed that Phil was still watching him.
"Do you need something?"
"No."
"Then stop looking at me."
Dan laughs at Phil's shocked expression. "I mean seriously though, turn around, I don't want you to watch me change."
"Why though." Phil huffs as he turns a fraction.
"Because I'm insecure, now turn."
Phil rolls his eyes but turns around. Dan quickly pulls off his shirt and slides his arms into the flannel. The shirt was so big it made him have sweater paws. He fiddled with each of the buttons as he tries to fasten them quickly.
"Are you done?"
"Almost." Dan was only on the fourth button. He struggles so much with buttons.
"Do you need help or-"
"No! I'm perfectly capable of putting on a shirt."
Phil turns and Dan covers his exposed skin.
"Hey what's the matter with you!"
Phil laughs. "You can't button your shirt?"
His ears go hot. "J-just leave me alone okay? I got this."
Phil watches him helplessly fiddle with it for a few minutes before sighing. "You're taking to long, Stephanie could be here any minute just let me help you."
Biting his lip, Dan nods slowly, Phil grins and walks over to him. He holds his breath as his hands move quickly, fastening the buttons.
"How are you a senior in high school and don't know how to button a shirt?" Phil mumbles.
"Just leave me alone." Dan responds with but his heart was racing as he feels his knuckles slightly graze his stomach ever so often.
When he finishes, they lock gazes. Blue on brown. Trapped in each other's own universe in that little moment. Dan's breath gets a little shallow as Phil's eyes flick to his lips.
"Phil... I-"
"Take off your pants."
He blinks. "Wait what?"
"It will look more believable if you take off your pants."
This makes Dan slightly annoyed. "You know what fine." He keeps his gaze as he shoves down his jeans and steps out of them quickly. "let's just get this over with."
"What's the matter with you?" He watches as Dan climbs into the bed and pulls the blanket up to his chin.
"Nothing." Dan shrugs. He was trying not to sound hurt. It looked like Phil wanted to kiss him.
Phil just shrugs and strips off his shirt and pants to. Dan tries not to look as much as he gets in beside him.
"Now she should be here any second so get on top of me."
Dan's mouth falls open. "Why do you want me to do the most-"
The sound of a door opening downstairs cuts him off. Dan feels strong hands grab his waist and he is suddenly sitting high up on Phil's waist, looking down at him.
"What the f-"
"Ah yea just like that!"
Dan panics. "Phil what are you doing!?"
"Just play along with it!" He whispers harshly. "yea you like that!"
The footsteps get louder and Dan's heart beats faster. Phil had started to move his hips and he was feeling more uncomfortable by the second.
Until the door opens.
Her screams could probably be heard from a 100 mile radius as she drops her purse and covers her mouth from shock.
"Stephanie it's not what it looks like!" Phil says in a mock tone.
Her face goes red. "What do you mean!?"
Dan wastes no more time. He flings himself out of bed and opens the fallen purse. The locket was the first thing he sees. He wraps his hand around it protectively and stands up.
Stephanie looks back and forth between the both of them. She nods and then calmly picks up her purse.
"Okay. Enjoy your little twink while you still can Phil. Because he won't be here for long."
At that, she leaves and they hear the door shut downstairs seconds later.
"Well I think that went by fine." Phil says happily.
