Hiding Myself From Loving You

Chapter 7:

[Riley's POV]

I started to prepare myself for the outfit, the speech, and other stuffs that I'd been involved for later's graduation event. I woke up a bit early just to master my delivery for the finalization of my self-written valedictory speech in our living room; that even Connor thought me like I'm talking to myself XD As I finished my task, I groomed myself with this white formal suit, and ate breakfast with my bros, who're also in their black suits.

I was on my way to the car outside the house with ConCon, Tobius when I suddenly heard a loud cry from Gem's house.

"Con...Tobs...h-have you heard something around here!?"

"Hmm....I dont think there's a sound..." Connor replied.

"I also couldn--wait a minute..." Toby lifted his face again to hear what's the sound clearly, "I-I guess there's someone crying inside her hou--"

"Exactly!" I snapped my fingers, "let's go, guys!"

To be very honest, I knew it was Gem who was crying, that's why I felt so nervous when something happened bad to her, but I didn't let my brothers notice that I'm truly, madly, and deeply in love with her.

As we went inside her house, my thoughts are right. Gem lied on Krystal's lap, crying, while Krystal's trying to comfort her.

"Oh my gosh! What happened to Gem, Krys?!" Connor asked with a bit panic.

"Uhmmm...Con...Ri...Tobs...."

"What, Krystal?!" I was the one who panicked the most.

"Her parents won't make it to her grad later. They're still in Seoul...they have unfinished business there..."

I couldnt help myself but feel sorry for her about what Krystal told us. She was in her pink dress that I almost couldnt take my eyes off her, but her tears fell non-stop in frustration cos her most important people in her life wouldnt be there on her graduation. Well, it's been a month since her parents left for their out-of-town business trip in Korea. To be very honest, I found it very disgusting. They didnt even put their time and efforts just to make their daughter proud of her. I mean, I knew theyre busy, but...ughhhh...never mind. [PS: Sorry for the lil rant bout your parents, Gem...]

As I went closer to Gem to hug her, she couldnt help herself but crying.

"Bu-buddy...why are you crying!?"

"Duljjae.... T____T" She hugged me back.

"Gem...dont worry. Your friends are here. We brothers are here, and Krystal's also here, right!?" Connor patted her on the back.

"Hye Min ah~ Connor's right. Your parents might not be here, but we're always here for you..." I know Krystal's speaking to her in her native language like she's comforting her, and then she switched to English, "so, stop crying, and fix yourself cos we only have an hour left before the program starts!"

"Oh my gosh!! We have to hurry right now! Let's go Gem! I'll also help you to fix yourself. Up now." I lend her hand for her to stand herself up.

"Uhmmm...gomawo*...thanks guys for being with me through thick and thin. You're the best!"

"Haha come here. I and Krystal would gonna help you fix yourself."

[Connor's POV]

This was the first time Gem felt much frustrated and a bit depressed cos of her parents not going on her grad later. We comforted her til she wiped her tears, and started fixing herself with the help of my brother Ri and Krys. Seeing Gem smiling, Im happy and contented, but ughhh... I really dont know what I feel when I've been seeing her with other guy (the worst is that she's always with my brother). I even could feel that Riley also likes her, and it's obvious. He might not know that I knew it, but ughh...never mind.
