Chapter 3:

[Gem's POV]

I was here in school this early morning to get my graduation gown and stuffs, and I was a bit surprised that I havent seen Riley here today, and I wondered why. Hmmm....seems that he already went here very earlier XD

I was now entering the principal's office as I'd been calling by the principal itself to tell me what's the good news. Actually, the principal had called me to come over here yesterday, but I did went here just today since the exams ended. Huuuurrrr~~

"Uhmmm..Good mornibg, Mr. Gibson. I'm sorry if I just came here toda--"

"Oh, good morning Ms. Yu. It's okay dear. By the way, have a seat." He leaded me to sit on a chair in front of his desk.

"Thank you, sir." I politely responded.

"Oh, by the way, since you're now here, I have some good news for you. You're this batch's salutatorian, and also one of the Students of the Year alongside with your friend Riley Thomas McDonough. In speaking of Mr. McDonough, he'd be this batch's valedictorian. And you two have a 4-year college scholarship in Harvard University in any courses of your choices."

"Really, sir!? Omooo~~ Thank you so much for this good news!"

I was literally jump out of ny chair as I heard those things. I could finally tell this to my parents about those. I really hope they would stop having those business trips in Seoul for a while, and hop aboard here in Orlando to attend my graduation. On the other hand, I'm not surprised that he got the highest honors in our batch. He's really smart, especially in Math, which is my most hated subject XDD But I didnt knew that aside of being a Math wizard, he's really musically talented. Aside from singing and songwriting, he could also make music alongside with his big bro Connor. I also didnt knew that they had a band called Before You Exit, which was originally formed by Connor and his friends Braiden and Thomas (then lately Riley and Toby were being added)til the songwriting session last time in my house. Well, as his buddy/childhood bestfriend, I'm so proud of him and his achievements. He really deserved to be on that spot.

"My pleasure dear. Truthfully, you two really deserved that awards."

"Thank you again for this good news, sir, and also for the opportunity to have a scholarship! By the way, sir, is Riley already went here!?"

"Yes, dear. He went here a bit earlier than you. He seemed to be in a rush while leaving..." Mr. Gibson looked a bit confused.

"I see, sir. By the way, I have to go now. I have important things to do. Thank you again, sir, and bye bye!"

"Okay, dear. See you on the graduation ceremony."

As I was leaving the office, my phone suddenly rang out of nowhere, and when I took it out of ny bag, I received a call from Krystal."

"Yeoboseyo (Hello)?!"

"Ya~~~ Hye Min!! I'm already here in Orlando Airport!"

"Jinjja (Really)!?!? That's too early ah~~" I was a bit shocked.

"Better early than never~~" she chuckled.

"Okay okay. I'll be there in 30 minutes. Just wait for me there."

"Got it, Hye Min"

"Okay, see ya later there."

I hanged the call off afterwards, then I decided to text Riley about the surprise party preparations while I was travelling on my way to the airport.

Me: Hey you, freak! Congratulations! XD

Riley: Haha congrats for what!? XD (tuning from Turn Down For What song)

Me: Secret! :P By the way, you guys better prepare for the party right now cos Krystal's already here.

Riley: Whaaaat!? She's so early, huh XD Okay, we'll be preparing all stuffs here. I'm just waiting for Connor to come back home. He just finished enrolling in the university.

Me: Alright. Just hurry up XD Gonna text u if we're alreafy in thr backyard.

After a half hour of travelling through the bus, I finally reached the airport. Wheeeeww it's been my first time that I travelled alone outside. My routine's always like this: home-school-backyard, and vice versa. Well, my parents were always busy in their respective professions that they always forgot our planned family trips. How pitiful I was...

I took my phone on my bag to call her. Seriously...I couldnt find her right now.

"Yaaaa~~ Soo Jung!!!"

"Hyeeeee Miiiin!! Where are you now!?"

"I'm now on the waiting shed."

"I'm also there...but how could I not see you!?"

"I'm actually seeing you now here!"

"Mwo!?!?"

"How bout turn your left side around!?"

As I was turn myself around on the left side, there was a girl with a high heels, blue shorts, pink blouse and shades suddenly waved her hands on me. OMG!! That's her...that's really her!! That's Krystaaaaaall!!!

"Yoo Hye-Miiiinnn!!!!!"

"Jung Soo-Juuuuuunnggg!!!!"

As we yelled each other's names very loud, we went ourselves to hug each other like 'OMG I couldnt believe I've been reunited with my childhood bestfriend!

"Soo Jung!! You're really getting more prettier!"

"Awwww....thanks Gem! You too~~ you're still pretty, but you still haven't change your tomboyish style."

"Hahaha you really know me well XD By the way, how's your vacation in LA!?"

"Well, it's good to be back on my hometown. Feels like I'm home again."

"How bout Orlando!?" I pouted.

"Of course I wont forget this place. Although my home's in LA, my unforgettable memories would always be cherished here, and it's because of my important persons in my life like you and Ri."

"Aiyo~~~ you're being so dramatic XD Did those staffs from SM Entertainment train you to be like that dramatic!? XD" I gave her that cold joke.

"Did you know that I was being casted in one of the most popular Korean dramas last year!?" She pouted.

"Really!? Then congrats!" I grinned.

"Huhuhu thanks anyways, Gem. By the way, let's go to your house."

"Whaaaat!?" I rolled my eyes.

"I'll be staying in your house for a week XD"

I was really shocked of the fact that she'd be staying on my house, but thinking that my parents were still in Seoul, felt relieved.

"Alright! You can stay there."

"Yaaaaaaay!! Hye Min~~jeongmal gomawo (thank you very much)!!" She hugged me like crazy.

"No prob, Soo Jung." I hugged her back.

We even got ourselves to the taxi, travelling back home. We even talked about her work in Korea as a KPOP idol and her struggles before she debuted, as well as I shared some moments with the McDonough bros since she left. Whew... I really missed her that much~~ I hope that she could stay here a bit longer than a week.
