Hiding Myself From Loving You

Chapter 9:

[Connor's POV]

It's been almost a week since I didnt saw Gem and Krystal. They're all in Gem's house, but haven't gone outside. On the other hand, Riley's still in pale condition, and seemed that he's always not in a good mood cos of worry and depression. He's always staying on his own room. I felt so bad for both of them, but ughhh.. how could I say this, but...I have a guess that she used her hiding as a defense mechanism...ughhh.. I'm now getting crazy hooorr.

It's already morning, and I first checked Riley on his room bout his condition, and he seemed to be alright right now.

"Ri~~"

"Oh, Connor. What are ya doing here?"

"Just checking you."

"Dont worry bro. I'm always be fine."

"You sure?"

"Yeaaah~~"

"Okay. I'll be right back here. I'd be cooking the pouridge for you."

"Okay..."

I left his room quietly to go to the kitchen when suddenly my phone rang on my pocket, and quickly noticed that it was a call....from an unknown number. I'm not sure if I'd be answering this, but yeah...

"Hello? Who's this?"

"C-Connor..."

"Who's thi--"

"Gem here..."

I left myself in a bit shock when...when Gem finally called  after a hell week.

"Gem...f-finally...you called. How are you now?"

"I'm now fine, Con. How bout u and also Ri and Tobs?"

"We're also pretty fine, but I admit that Ri's still not on his normal condition since you've gone in a week."

"I'm so sorry Con...I made him felt that way..."

"Dont worry. He'll understand it one day. If you want, I'll be letting Ri speak to--"

"No need, Con. Thanks."

"You sure?"

"Yeah..." I nodded.

"Then why did you call me?"

"Uhmm.. I have to talk to you personally. Could you?"

"Sure thing. Where?"

"On the beach side near our house. I'll be waiting for you there."

"Got it, Gem. I also have something to tell you. Be going there in a moment..."

I suddenly hanged the phone up, and fixed myself a bit. I also made sure that Riley wouldnt see me going outside to meet Gem (even Toby) cos I know he'll be more hurt, especially he's not in his emotionally normal condition.

As I went on that meeting place, I first saw Gem, who's waiting for me, and went to her to give her a hug first.

"Geeeeem!"

"Connnoor!" She responded to my hug.

"It's been a week though...and we're really worried that much."

"I'm so sorry to make you guys feel that way."

"Naah. I understand. At least you had enough time to meditate about your feelings...hahaha by the way where did you go after the incident?"
