Hiding Myself From Loving You

Chapter 6:

[Gem's POV]

This day would be the moment of truth for me and Riley: the graduadtion day. Well, it's already morning, and we just arrived home in Orlando from our Miami beach overnight. That's really the most unforgettable night ever cos I have my important friends with me who made unforgettable memories together before Krystal's return to Korea few days after graduation. Awwww... I'll be missing her so much, and it'll take a long time to see her again...

By the way, I was wondering why I had a very strange feeling last night when I was sleeping...like...there was someone hugged me...and kissed me right on my lips...I really hope this was a dream, but...ughhh =____= just never mind...

Anyways, I was now preparing everything for later's event since I got home with Krystal this morning. A dress, grad gown, toga, invitation, and stuffs were already all set. Krystal would be in charge for my make-up and hair make-over. Well, to be very honest, I'm really not fond of wearing such girly dresses cos you know, but Krys insisted me to give myself a try to wear girly stuffs and act like one.

"Yaaaa~~~~ You know how I dont like wearing such kinda girly stuff. I'm okay with this simple dress without make-up." I insisted...

"You're always like that, Gem!! Hmmm...why dont you give yourself a try to dress in a girlish style?!"

"Andwaaaeee (Nooooo waaaaayy) !!! Im now used to dress like this simple..."

"Simple, but not enough..." she criticized the way I dress myself, and then went to me, "come here, Hye Min!"

"Whatcha gonna do with me, Soo Jung!?"

"You'll see..." she smiled, and then dragged me to my room.

Apparently, yeah, she did a total makeover in my hair, make-up, and in the way I dressed. She first made the hair makeover part. She did straighten my wavy hair down to my thighs (my wavy hair's just down to my chest) using a straightening iron, then put a make-up on into my face to match with my fair skin. And last, she changed the dress style from a long-sleeved one that I only had til Krystal gave me her pink tube dress which was a bit high above the knee, and waited for me to get dressed with that pink dress. When I got out of my bathroom wearing this dress, she completely blew herself.

[Krystal's POV]

"Whooooooaaaaa... Yoo Hye-Min!!! Is that really you!?"

Seriously. She really blew my mind. I really didnt know that she'd gonna be that hella beautiful...she's just like Barbie. I guess my mission in transforming Gem's tomboyish image's already accomplished!! Yeaaaah~~~ 

"W-why!? Why are you staring at me like that, Soo Jung!?" She wondered.

"Yo-you're really not the Gem Yu that I knew before. XD I just felt that the new Gem's already here in front of me. Deaar~~ you're really  beautiful." I literally stuttered. If she'd be a KPOP idol like me, I'm sure she'd be the Nation's Goddess, but yeah, it's not her style.

"Aigooo...I just cant stand this, Krys! Huuuurrr..." she cried out of a bit frustration cos of her being transformed into girlish.

"And you should be thankful for that transformation. You look like more natural than before..." I chuckled while going on my way to the bathroom to take a bath.

"But---" Gem supposed to talk.

"No more buts, dear. Just be that girlish for only this day," I added, "by the way, I'll be now taking a shower. We'll talk laatuuurrr..."

[Gem's POV]

Well, I have no choice, but to keep this style til the end of this event like huuurrr T.T I just felt some chills on my body when I'm wearing these girly stuffs. You know me... but anyways, thanks Krystal for this makeover. Hahaha....

I was about to go downstairs to fix myself on the mirror when my phone suddenly rang, and I was a really surprised that my parents finally gave me a call after staying in a month there in Seoul.

[in Korean]

Me: Yeoboseyo (Hello)?!

Mommy: Hye Min-ah!!

Me: U-ummaaaa!! I really missed you so much! How's your business trip in Seoul with papa?!

Mommy: Still fine, dear~~

Me: Uhhhmmm...would you go to my graduation ceremony today!?

[in Chinese]

Daddy: (stuttered) Uhhmm...Hui Min...dui bu qi...but we couldnt make it.

Me: (shocked) Whaaat!? Papa, Umma, I thought you already planned to come here today?

[in Korean]

Mommy: Hye Min-ah...We're still in Seoul...we still have unfinished business to settle...

Me: Umma, this is really and important event to me cos I thought this would be the time we could spend together. I also thought that you'd going to the stage with me to receive my salutatory medal and other ones, but I guess I expected too mu--"

[in Chinese]

Daddy: Wait...whaaat!? Are you a salutatorian?!

Me: Yes, Papa. Riley got the valedictorian one.

Daddy: You mean...our neighbour and your bestfriend got that?

Me: Yes...

Daddy: (crying) Oh my!! Congrats dear!!! I'm so proud of you and Riley! How I really wish we could go there...but we're sorry dear...by the way, send our regards to the McDonough family!

[in Korean]

Mommy: Hye Min ah....we're really sorry if we couldnt make it to ur grad...

Me: (crying) I guess I was expecting too much from you cos I really missed you so much, especially I'm a loner in this house for a month. And I'll be sending your regards to them. Dont worry. By the way, I'll be preparing myself now for the grad later.

Mommy: Just remember to take care of yourself!

Me: You too, umma, papa. Call me later la~~ Wo ai ni! Saranghae~~

Mommy + Daddy: Bye Hye/Hui Min! Love you and take care!

As I hanged the call up, I ended myself teary-eyed in the corner of my room cos of disappointment and frustration that I even didnt know Krystal's already outside the bathroom, and dressed up.

"Oh, Hye Min!" Krystal poked me on my back.

"Oh my gho--- Ya~~~ Soo Jung-ah!!" I was totally shocked that I almost freaked out.

"Hey dear, chillax," she pat me on my shoulders, "what happened a while ago a-and who called you a while ago?!"

"Uhhmm...it's my mom and dad," I spoke to her in Korean, and left my mouth with a sigh, "unfortunately, they wouldnt make it today..."

"What!? So you mean, they're still in Seoul!?"

"Yeah~~~"

"Aww...poor Gem..." she hugged me so tight, and patted me on my shoulder, "dont worry, I'll be going with you."

"Soo Jung-ie~~no need to do th--"

"I need to do this, Gem. Youre my bestfriend~~~"

"Well...thanks Krys..."

I smiled as we hugged each other for encouragement and comfort. Well, that's what friends are for, right?! And I'm really thankful to have this wonderful friend like her. She may be having the bitchy image that she had as an idol trademark, but they didnt know how nice she really is. ❤
