Chapter 16

-at the party-

"Ganda mo talaga, you really looked liked a goddess" papuri ni Axl. "Thanks" sagot niya. Nasa iisang table lang sila. Nandun din si Fritze at Richard.

Kanina habang papasok sila ni Brett, pansin niyang nakatingin sa kanila ang mga tao. The girls are envy of her while the boys admired her.

"Bagay talaga sa'yo ang dress" si Fritze. "Ikaw din naman eh. You're stunning" papuri niya as she eyes her from head to toe.

Fritze's wearing a pink mini dress. A baloon type dress. Pantay lang sa tuhod niya ang length ng dress. Paired with silver gucci high heels.

"Kay Chenille niyo ba nabili ang dress niyo?" tanong ni Brett.

"Of course! In speaking of Chenille, here she comes" sabi ni Fritze. "Uy, pa-share ng table" sabi ni Chenille ng makalapit sa kanila. "Sure" sagot ni Richard at ipinaghila pa niya ng upuan si Chenille.

Ang sexy ni Chenille sa suot na dress. She's wearing a green chiffon mini dress at back less iyon kaya kitang-kita ang makinis at maputing likod nito.

Ilang sandali pa ay sinimulan na ang program. Tinawag ng emcee sina Sam at Niall. Sa harap nilang lahat, pormal na nagpropose si Niall.

After it, Niall made a short sweet vow. The crowd made some noises by the use of glass. Which means they are asking for a kiss. Hindi naman binigo ng couple ang mga bisita. They kissed for a while. Syempre di mawawala ang picture taking.

Sam is also stunning tonight. She's wearing a mini red dress. Halter ang style ng dress niya. Hanggang hita lang ang tabas nito. And to perfect her look, she paired her dress with a red stilletto high heels.

Pagakatapos ng picture taking may slide shows ng pics nina Sam at Niall. Showing their adventures and fun moments and also their achievements in life. The foods were being served as they watch the slide show.

Pagkatapos, sayawan na. A sweet.music is being played.

"Let's dance hon" malambing na sabi ni Brett. "Of course" and they went off to the center and danced. Naiwan sa table sina Fritze at Chenille kasama sina Axl at Richard.

"Buti pa sila may partners" sabi ni Chenille na nakatingin sa dance floor. May ilang pairs din na sumasayaw. Pati din sina Sam at Niall nandun. "Oo nga eh, if only Matt is here" sabi ni Fritze na naka pout pa. "Bakit nga pala wala siya?" tanong ni Axl.

"He's busy for the upcoming competition" sagot niya. "Sayaw tayo Chen" yaya ni Richard. "Sure, bored na ako" pagpayag ni Chenille. Naiwan sa mesa sina Fritze at Axl. Late ng natapos ang party.

Kinabukasan, nakatanggap ng tawag si Caryl mula sa kanyang coach. "Ikaw ang sasali sa competition sa J'bay" her coach informed.

"Whaaaat! Bakit ako??? Bago lang ako sa team ah" gulat na tanong niya na medyo mataas ang boses.

"Nagback out si Denver. So, the.board picked another surfer and.they chose you and Mr. President approved it" Trix, her coach explained. "But-" di na niya nagawang ituloy lang sinabi coz Trix cut him off.

l"No more buts Caryl. It's final and we believe you can do it so don't fail us" Trix said in an authorative voice. Di na siya nakatanggi. Alam niyang wala na siyang magagawa kapag ganoon na ang tono ng boses nito.

"Be ready, next week na ang alis natin. Punta ka dito as soon as you can" bilin ni Trix.

She sighed. "Ok Trix, I'll have to fix my schedule" sagot niya and hang up.

Pagkababa ng phone, she screamed out loud. Buti na lang sound proof ang room niya. "Di pa ako ready na makaharap siya uli!" frustrated  niyang  sabi. "Pero I have to go to J'bay, I need to be there!" Kaya naman nang ma-clear niya ang pag-iisip niya ay agad niyang inayos ang schedule niya at nag file ng indifinite leave.

She flew to Subic through her private jet as soon as she finished fixing everthing. Doon kasi sila nagpapraktis ng surfing. Two days before their departure, nagpapraktis pa rin sila.

Last day of practice na nila ito. Caryl is doing her trick up in the air and she's about to land after making twirl in the air but she failed. Na out balance siya at nahulog sa tubig. Agad naman siyang dinaluhan ng mga kasama na sina Ahron at Coleen.

"Ok ka lang ba? What's happening to you?" takang tanong ni Coleen. Sila lang ni Coleen ang babae na member sa team. "I'm fine" she answered and pull up herself to sit on the board.

"Napapansin ko lately, parang distracted ka" si Ahron. Hindi siya umimik. Pano kasi totoo ang sinabi ni Ahron. Distracted siya sa isiping makikita niya uli sa Zayn.

"Sana di ganito ang maging performance mo sa J'bay. Whatever's bothering you, kalimutan mo muna. Mag focus ka sa surfing" Trix said. "Yes" she answered in a low tone and tried to surf again.

-Zayn's P.O.V @ J'bay-

Nag-aayos siya ng mga papers for the upcoming competition. Lumipat na siya ng team. He's now surfing for the Billabong. Isa na rin siya sa mga organizers ng competition. In fact, he offered his hotel to be the accomodating place of all participants. Kaya may copy siya ng list of participants. He's scanning the list to make sure na maaaccomodate lahat ng participants. Nang bigla siyang napahinto sa ginagawa.

He even rubbed his eyes and read it again. Tama nga ang nabasa niya, pangalan ni Caryl. The girl he's been wanting to be with for all these years. He misses this girl terrribly. He felt excited at the thought that he's gonna see her again but for an instance his excitement was replaced by sadness. Kasi alam.niyang may boyfriend na ang dalaga. Nakikibalita kasi siya kay Niall about sa life events ni Caryl.

He's now reminiscing the happy moments with Caryl. And tears started to fall. "It's all my fault! I pushed her away" mapait nitong sabi.

Nasa ganoon siyang diwa nang mag ring ang cellphone niya. Kaya napukaw siya mula sa pagbabalik-tanaw.

Bahagya pa siyang nagulat but answered the call anyway.
