Chapter 19

Habang kumakain, naramdaman ni Caryl na may nakatitig sa kanya. Kaya luminga-linga siya. She caught Zayn staring at her. She met his stare and went like that for a while.

"Was that sadness and pain in his eyes?" Caryl.thought.

Ilang saglit pa'y nagbaba na siya ng tingin kasi di na niya kayang makipagtitigan rito. Para siyang nalulusaw. Siniko naman siya ni Coleen.

"Sino yung katitigan ko? Kilala mo ba siya?" usisa ni Coleen. "Kinda" she answered. "Di ba siya yung nakasabay natin sa elevator" si Ahron na nakatingin kay Zayn. "Oo, siya nga" sagot niya.

"Ano name niya? Ang cute niya ah" Coleen said and giggled. She frowned and answer "Zayn Malik."

"Malik ba kamo? Eh di siya pala yung may-ari nitong hotel" sabi ni Trix.

In the passed few years, when Zayn turned 21, he asked his father to give this hotel to him as his share in all their assets and business.

"Yep" tipid niyang sagot. "May girlfriend na kaya siya?" tanong ni Coleen. "Ewan ko-" naputol ang pagsasalita niya ng lumapit ang waiter sa kanya.

"Ma'am, here's a note for you. It's from my boss" sabi ng waiter sabay abot ng isang nakatuping papel. Inabot niya iyon at nilagay sa bulsa.

Nagkatinginan naman ang mga kasama niya. Agad niyang tinapos ang pagkain at pumanhik na sa suite nila.

Pagkarating sa suite agad niyang tinawagan ang kaibigang si Sam.

"Girl napatawag ka?" si Sam sa kabilang linya. "Nagkita na kami uli pero di pa kami nakakapag-usap" sabi niya. "So, ano naman ngayon?" si Sam. "Eh kasi I'm tensed kapag nasa malapit siya. Affected pa rin ako sa presence niya" she confided. "Ba't ka naman magiging affected? Sabi mo you have moved on kaya nga sinagot mo si Brett di'ba" sabi nito.

"I thought so, but when I saw him again all the pain and sweet memories I had with him flashed back. I even froze for a moment when we accidentally met at the elevator" she said.

"Hmmm...you still love him, don't you?" Sam asked. "No, I don't. Maybe I acted like that because I haven't seen him for ages" tanggi niya. "Ok, if that's really what you feel. Maybe you need a closure so talk to him" Sam adviced and she remembered about the note. "Ok, I have to hang up now. Bye!" and tap the end button.

She immediately read the note. It says "Can you meet me at.the beach. Same spot as before if you still remember."

She sighed. "Ok, haharapin ko siya, pero dapat maging matatag ako" sabi niya sa sarili. Nag-iwan muna siya ng note sa side table in case na hanapin siya ni Coleen.

She feels so nervous that she can even hear her own heart beat. She have arrived and saw Zayn, sitting on the sand. He was facing to the sea so, he did not notice her. She cleared her throat, compose herself and acted like she's pissed to see him to hide what she is feeling right now.

"Zayn, what do you want from me?" she asked emotionlessly. Tumayo ito at lumapit.sa kanya. "I thought you wouldn't come" sabi ni Zayn.

"Please tell what you wanna say! I don't have much time!" pagtataray niya.

"I'm sorry for what I did to you. I was a coward. It took me ages to realize how much I love you, how much I really want you in my life" pag-amin nito. "Apology accepted but I don't care anymore on what you feel for me" she lied.

In fact, she's clebrating inside. She's been longing to hear those words from him but she controlled herself. She still can't forget the fact that this guy rejected him and her ego was badly hurt. "I know you have a boyfriend now but I don't care" sabi pa nito.

"How did you know?" si Sam at Niall ang suspect niya na nagsabi kay Zayn tungkol doon. "Niall, I ask him the updates of your life" he admitted.

"Why would you that? As if you cared for me" sumbat niya rito. "I do care for you. Please can you give me another chance? Can we start all over again?" suyo nito sa kanya.

"How dare you ask me that! I won't do it, not in this lifetime" she raised her voice and walked away. Pero nahabol siya ni Zayn at niyakap siya patalikod.

"Please Caryl. I know I've hurt you and I regret it coz that's the most stupid thing I've done in my entire life. At that time I was afraid that what might happen in the past will repeat unto us. I should have known that my exgirlfriend is way too far from you. That you wouldn't do the same thing on me" he explained.

Tears started to run down on her cheeks. "Zayn, it's too late for this. Brett is a good guy, I don't wanna hurt him" hinarap niya ito. Zayn wiped her tears.

"Please stop crying. I hate it whenever I see you cry" sabi ni Zayn. "Please, let go of me. I shouldn't have come here" pakiusap niya rito na umiiyak pa rin. "I'll let you go if you will look me straight in the eyes and say you don't love me anymore" sabi nito at itinaas ang mukha niya.

She cleared her throat and bravely said "I don't love you" while saying it, her heart is in deep pain. But she have to do it coz it's the right thing. "You're lying. If you don't love me why you're still affected with the past? Why did you froze when you saw me in the elevator? sumbat nito.

"Piss off" she said and escaped from his arms. Hindi pa man siya nakakalayo ay nahawakan uli siya ni Zayn. Hinila siya nito paharap at walang sabing hinalikan siya.

At first she tried to push him but he is stronger. The more she pushes him, the more tighter he hugs her. Afterwards, she gave in and respond to his kiss. Nang pinakawalan siya nito agad niya itong binigyan ng kambal na sampal.

"Now it's confirmed. You still love me" sabi nito. Inirapan niya ito at patakbong bumalik sa hotel.
