J POV
I heard cries coming from the crib, and got up to get Scarlett. "Shhhh. You're ok. I got you baby." I whisper. "Juggie?" I hear Betty say. "Go back to sleep. I got her." I say. She groans and gets up. "I said go back to sleep not get up." I chuckle. "I gotta feed her." she says, taking her from me. "Go lay down at least. I'll take her back to the crib when she's done." I say and she nods. She gets in and I wrap my arm around her shoulders. "I missed this. Well, Scarlett is new, but you know, us." she says, resting against me. "Me too." I whisper. Scarlett finishes eating, and I carry her to the crib. "Goodnight angel." I whisper and get back in bed. I pull Betty as close as possible and fall asleep.

B POV
I woke up and checked on Scarlett. I fed, burped, and change her. I let jughead sleep, so I went to make breakfast. I was making pancakes, and felt hands on my waist. "Good morning Juggie." I say. "Good morning love." he kisses my cheek. I plate the food and we sit at the table. "Did you sleep ok?" he asks. "Yea, did you?" I ask. "Yea." he smiles, making me smile. I hear Scarlett cry and go get her. I bounce her until she calms down and go to the living room. I hand her to jughead and go get dressed.

J POV
I had Scarlett on my chest asleep when Betty came back. "Hey love." I say. "Hi. I have to go to the store." she says. "Do you want me to stay here with her or us go with you?" I ask. "You can come if you want." she says and I nod. We get in the car and go to the store. We get some glares and shocked expressions, but I can tell Betty is trying to ignore them. "It's ok. Don't let them get to you." I whisper in her ear. "They're not." she says looking straight ahead. I kiss her cheek and we finish shopping. We head to pops and get in our booth. "Haven't seen you in a while Betty. How are you?" he asks. "I'm good pop. Can I get a vanilla milkshake and fries." she says. "And for you?" Pop asks. "I'll have the same." I say. He nods and goes to place our orders.

B POV
I hear the bell ring and see Veronica walk in. "Betty?" she says, walking towards the booth. "Yes?" I ask. I rock the car seat as she steps closer. "Who's this?" she asks, pointing to jughead. "Jughead Jones. Leader of the serpents." I say. "Oh. I didn't know you were talking to Serpents, let alone the leader." she says. "Why wouldn't I talk to him?" I ask. "It's just that, you know." she starts. "No I don't. Please enlighten me." I say. "I mean he's a gang leader. He's from the south side." she says. "So. He has been nothing but good to me since I got back. I love him." I say. Her eyes widen. "How can you love a gang leader. All of them are heartless." she exclaims, making my blood boil. "I am not a heartless, cold blooded killer you think all the leaders are." I snap. "Y-you're a l-leader?" she stutters. "I am the queen of the serpents. I'm surprised you haven't noticed all these years. I don't go to your house, you don't know where I live. I'm always missing. So what did you think I was doing?" I say. Scarlett starts to whine and I rock her. "You're a mom too. I really know nothing about you." she says. "Nobody does. I intend to keep it that way." I say before she leaves. Pop brings us our food and smiles at Scarlett.

J POV
"So you're still gonna be queen?" I ask. "Yea. I'll try to come by sometimes, but Scarlett is coming with me. I'm not leaving her with some stranger." she says. "I don't want you to leave her with some stranger either. She is serpent royalty. If the ghoulies hear, they will try to come back and kidnap her. I would rather her be in the bar where we can watch her." I say and she nods. "Why does it have to be so stressful?" she says laying her head on the table. "I don't know. We'll figure something out. It will get easier." I say. "Now you're sounding like Fp." she replies. "I don't know if that's a good thing or not." I say. She laughs and rocks the car seat.

We get back to her house and I put Scarlett in the crib. "Are you gonna stay the night again?" Betty asks. "If you want me to." I say and she nods. I kiss her cheek and she rests her head on my chest. "You need to get some rest. We'll go to the bar tomorrow." I say. "Ok." she says pulling me into the bedroom.

B POV
I woke up to crying. I get to Scarlett's room and feed her. "Shhhh. It's ok." I say when she's done eating. I sit in the rocking chair and she falls asleep.

Jughead was gently shaking me. "Mmm. What time is it?" I ask. "It's about 10. I put Scarlett in the car seat. Come on." he says pulling me from the rocking chair. I get dressed and we get in the car. We pull up at the bar and everyone cheers softly when they see Scarlett. I see Tallboy in a corner, scoffing. It makes my blood boil that he would do that. "Is there something stuck in your throat Tallboy?" I ask and everyone goes quiet. "I don't know what you're talking about." he says. "Quit scoffing every time I walk into a room. Simple as that." I say. "I wasn't." he argues. "So you're choking on something." I snap. "No." he says. "Scoff again, and I'll break your nose." I growl. "Yes queen." he says. I get the car seat from jughead and go to the office. I bounce her in my arms so she would calm down. "Shhhhh. You're ok." I coo. I don't know if it was more for me or her.

J POV
I walk over to the bar and talk to Toni. "What's Tallboys deal with her?" she asks. "Don't know. They hate each other for some reason." I say. "It's because she got leader and he didn't. He doesn't think she should have gotten queen because she's not really my daughter. He's told her almost every time she comes in." Fp says. "If it's because she's a leader then why doesn't he hate me too?" I ask. "I guess because it's Betty." he says. I nod and head up the office. I see Betty bouncing Scarlett when I reach the door. "Hey Betts." I say. "Hey." she looks up at me.
