B POV
Scarlett finished opening presents and said thank you to everyone. "Hey munchkin. I have one more for you." I say. She hops up on the stage next to me. "You to Jug. It's more of a surprise than a present." I say looking through my purse. I grab the envelope and hand it to her. She looks at me confused but opens it. She gasps, tears in her eyes. "No tears. It's your birthday." I chuckle. "There happy tears." she retorts. "Well........What does it say?" Fangs asks. "Can I?" she asks and I nod. Jughead looks at me confused, and I grin. "Mom is...... mom is having a girl!" she exclaims. Everyone gasps and cheers. Jughead wraps his arms around me. He unwrapped his arms and rewrapped them from behind me. "When is the baby do?" one asks. "December." I reply. J POV
We got back to the mansion after the party. We get everything settled, Betty collapsed on the couch with a huff. I sat next to her, pulling her on my lap. "You wanna get in bed?" I whisper. "No." she replies. "Who's birthday is next?" I ask. "Yours. In October." she mumbles. Betty rests her head on my shoulder and closes her eyes. "You sure you don't want to go to bed?" I grin. "Positive. You're comfy." she states. I roll my eyes and turn the tv on. Betty's phone rang, but she didn't move to get it. I grabbed it and it was Fp. "Betts it's Fp." I say. "You answer it." she mumbles against my neck.

Fp: Betty-

J: sorry she fell asleep.

Fp: well either way, it concerns both of you.

J: what is it?

Fp: Penny is here.

J: let me guess. You have her tied to a chair, waiting for us to get there.

Fp: Yep.

J: We'll be there in a little bit. What about Scarlett? She doesn't need to be around her.

Fp: she's a serpent now. I think she can handle it.

J: serpent or not, she's still my little girl.

Fp: Yea and Betty is mine. Just bring her and she can go to your office.

J: ok.

I hang up and wake Betty. "We gotta go back to the bar." I say. "Scarlett?" she asks. "She's going with us." I say.

B POV
We get in the bar, and everyone is surrounding a chair. I hear a woman scream, and I look over at jughead. He was talking to Scarlett. She nodded and ran to the office. "Am I the only one in the dark?" I say. "Betty." Fp says. I turn and see Penny tied to the chair. I smirk, "well. Well. Well. Did you finally come for my head?" I see anger coursing through her eyes. I step closer to her and she glares at me. "You think a glare is gonna scare me? I've made grown men cry and I've killed a couple too. I will gladly add you to the list. Mother or not." I growl. "So the coward finally found you?" she laughs. Someone tries to step closer to her, but I hold a hand up and everyone steps back, but Fangs comes forward. "What are you gonna do to me, huh? I'm not afraid of you! You're just a scared little girl." she says. "You say that, and as I look into your eyes. There's something else mixed with that anger. its called fear Penny. I'm not a scared little girl, you are. Look in my eyes and see what emotion you see." I say. "I don't have to do what you say." she snaps. "No, you don't. I can tell you exactly which emotion is in my eyes. Anger." I say. I see one of the initiation knives and grab it. "I thought the queen had a special knife." she laughs. "Oh I do. It's in Hal's leg from from all those years ago. I just haven't replaced it yet." I grin. I see more fear sprinkle in her eyes. "You wouldn't kill family." she says. "No no no." I say. Relief runs through. "But you're not family." I say and some serpents chuckle.

S POV
I wanted to know what was going on downstairs, so I slowly snuck down. I saw mom holding a knife and the serpents were chuckling. Someone spots me and walks over so they don't get noticed. "What are you doing down here?" he growls. "I want to know what's going on." I snap. "You're going against the king and queens orders. Do you really want suspended the first day?" he says. "They're not going to suspend me. I want to know what's happening." I say harshly. "The queen has business with the ghoulie. That's all you need to know." he says. "Ryan." I say slowly. "What princess." he sighs. "I want the truth. That is my mother. I deserve to know." I raise my voice a little, which doesn't go unnoticed. "Busted princess." he grins. I glare at him and I see dads eyes narrow. Welp, I'm in trouble now. He walks towards me, and I decided that if I didn't want to get in more trouble, that I would stay in my spot. "What are you down here?" he asks. "I want to know what's going on." I say. "I told you to stay in the office." he sighs. "I know. I'm sorry. I just want to know what's going on down here." I lower my face. "It's not pretty. Are you sure you want to watch?" he asks and I nod. He wraps his arm around my shoulders and we head back to the spot he was standing.

B POV
I saw jughead move out of the corner of my eye, but kept my focus on Penny. I saw jughead walk back with Scarlett. "So what's it gonna be princess?" she smirks. "The last time I was called princess, the man died. Do you really want to end up dead, right now?" I threaten. "You wouldn't kill the person who gave birth to you." she smirks. "That's all you are to me. I bet you don't even remember the day I was born. You gave me away so easily." I laugh. "Isn't that what you did? I've kept tabs on you, even in New York. What was his name, Seth?" she grins. "I was 13! If you kept tabs on me, then you should know the real story." I yell. I hear some whispering, and I raise my hand and they all fall silent. "How do you think the ghoulies knew you were in New York?" she grins. I switch the blade out on the knife. "You sent them to jump me and I bet you sent Seth too." I say in a low and dangerous voice. She stares at the knife. "Are you waiting on something?" I growl. "I'm just waiting on you to grow a pair and stab me." she says. "Gladly." I smirk. I twirl the knife, and run the blade down her arm. I add a little pressure, and she lets out a strangled noise. "You should be glad I'm not in a killing mood." I whisper in her ear and stab her leg, leaving the knife. I head up to the office and sit in Jughead's chair.

F POV
Penny was hollering but no one was listening to her. I just had one part of their conversation playing in my head. Something happened between Betty and a Seth guy when she was younger. "I'm gonna go check on her." I say and run up to the office. I saw her sitting at the desk, twirling a knife. She looks up at me, and continues twirling the knife. "Fangs." she says coldly. "Do you want to talk about what just happened?" I ask. "What do you want to know?" she replies. "What happened between you and that Seth guy? You don't have to tell me if you don't want to." I say. "It's time I told someone about it. He uh. He raped me when I was 12. I somehow got pregnant, and had the baby a few months after I turned 13. I know exactly where he is, and he knows what happened. I wouldn't have gave him up, if I wasn't so young. I got to name him before he went with the family." she smiles a little, "I named him Jamie. Jamie smith." "Where is he now?" I ask. "We've kept in touch and he told me that he was coming to Riverdale in a few weeks." she smiles, "who would've thought that I would have a 24 year old, 16 year old, and soon a newborn." I smile softly at her. "I'm glad your happy." She sets the knife on the desk and stands. She walks over to me and hugs me. "I'll tell the others when he gets here." she says. "You take your time. Don't feel rushed into doing it." I say. "I won't. I promise." she grins at me. "Hey Betts. Ready to go?" Jughead asks from behind me. She lets go of me and nods. He wraps his arm around her shoulders and they head down the stairs.
