J POV
I was shocked. I didn't have time to react, as I saw her driving away from the window. "Did mommy leave us?" Scarlett asks, her lip quivering. "I have no idea munchkin." I say. I pick her up and set her in my lap, continuing my work on the laptop.

I drove home and put Scarlett in my bed. I took care of the puppy and put her in the bed as well.

F POV
I've been following Betty ever since she left, she just doesn't know it. I want to keep her safe. She is my best friend and I can't lose her. I've been following her for a few weeks and reporting back to Fp and jughead.

F: she's just parked at a gas station.

Fp: don't let her spot you, because she will try to get rid of you.

F: I need to get some gas.

J: be careful.

I pulled into one of the pumps and filled my bike up. "Fangs?" I hear but don't dare to move. "I know it's you fangs. You've been following me for weeks." she says. I look at her with a shocked expression. "You knew. Why didn't you try to send me away?" I ask. "Because I don't care anymore. You can go back if you want, but I'm not going back. I can't go back, not after this. Scarlett deserves someone who doesn't screw up as much as me, and you can report back to them that I said so. You can tell him to find her a new mom, because I will never be good enough." she says. "Betty, she is your daughter, not some random chicks that she doesn't know. You spent 8 hours in pain, just so she could be here. You carried her for 9 months. She deserves to have the woman who gave birth to her. You are not a screw up. You are always good enough." I say. "No I'm not. Just because I'm her biological mother, doesn't mean she can't get a new mom. If you're going to follow me, I suggest you say goodbye to everyone, because I'm not going back, Not until I'm ready." she says. "Ok. Fp doesn't want this for you. Jughead doesn't want this for you. None of the serpents want this for you. You need to come home." I say. "I don't have a home anymore. I've never had one. Goodbye fangs." she says and hops on her bike, driving off. I tried to catch up to her, but she sped off and hid. I gave up and drive back to the Whyte Wyrm.

J POV
"So she's gone. Just like that." I say. "She said that Scarlett deserves better than her, and so do you. I tried to catch up to her, but she sped off and hid. I'm sorry." Fangs says. "She said she might come back, but she doesn't know when." Fp says and fangs just nods. I lean back in my chair and process everything that just happened.

"Come on munchkin. We gotta get you to school." I say. "Do I have to go?" Scarlett asks. "Your friends are gonna be there, and it's the first day. I survived high school and so will you. You're gonna love freshmen year." I say. "Can I wear my jacket?" she asks. "Don't get into trouble with it." I say. We get in the car and I take her to Riverdale High school. "I'll see you later. Bye." I say. "Bye." she says. I was driving down Betty's old street, and saw some bikes in front of her old house. Is she back, after 13 years. No. She wouldn't come back.

B POV
I was at my old house, and someone knocked on the door. I opened it and saw fangs, sweet pea, Toni, JB, and Fp. "You're back!" they say in unison. "I'm back." I smile weakly. After 13 years, I'm back in Riverdale. Jughead I know for sure hates me, Scarlett probably doesn't remember me, and I'm not part of the gang anymore. I went to college to become an English teacher, and decided I would work at my old school. We do a group hug and we catch up. They start talking about Scarlett, and I feel horrible. "I'm a horrible mother aren't I." I whisper. "No betty. You finally got You're stuff straight. You weren't in a good place and now you are. Don't have set backs." Fangs says. I kept in touch with him and he has been helping me. "I start my job tomorrow. I'm surprised I still have this house, after so long." I say.

S POV
Dad came and picked me up from school, and I saw bikes from the bar outside one of the houses on the northside. "Why are the serpents at that house on the northside?" I ask. He looks at the house. "I believe Betty Cooper is back." he says. "She's back?" I whisper. "I'm sorry munchkin." he says. "It's fine. It's was her choice to leave us and her choice to come back years later. I don't care." I say, even though I do. I barely remember my mother, just her name, and that she used to be serpent queen. The serpents don't talk about her, because she is a sore subject, especially for grandpa, aunt Toni, aunt JB, fangs, sweet pea, and even dad.

B POV
I got ready for work and got on my bike. I parked and walked into the office. "Hi. I'm Betty Cooper, I'm here for the English teacher job." I say. "Of course. Let me show you to your room." they say. I smile and follow them out of the office. I get to my room and write my name on the board and sit at the desk, waiting for the bell to ring.

S POV
My first class is English. I walked in with Emily and we took our seats at the back. "Good morning everyone. I am the new English teacher, Ms. Cooper." she says. My eyes shoot up to look at her. Oh. My. God. My mother is my English teacher. She gives us the lesson, and sits at her desk, busying herself.

B POV
I look at the roster and call names. "Emily Wake." I say. "Here." She replies. I get to the next one and my heart stops. "Scarlett jones." I say. "Here." she says. I see her in the back of the room, and she's perfect. The bell rings at the end of class and everyone leaves.

J POV
I got Scarlett from school and she started crying when we left the parking lot. "What's wrong munchkin." I ask. "She's here dad. She's one of my teachers. She acted like she didn't even know me." she sobs. "I'm so sorry." I say, placing my hand on her shoulder. "How about we go to pops?" I ask and she nods.

B POV
"I saw her fangs. She's perfect, and I missed out on her growing up into the beautiful young lady she is. How could I have been so selfish?" I cry. "Please don't cry Betts. Come on. Let's go to pops." he says. We hop on the bikes and drive to pops. I walk in and pop stops in his tracks. "Is it really you?" he asks. "Yea. I'm back." I smile weakly and hug him. "I really missed You're milkshakes." I say. "Vanilla milkshake coming up." he says. I go for my purse, but he stops me. "On the house." he says and I smile at him. "Come on Betts." Fangs grabs my hand and drags me to our booth that we used to always go to.
