Which One?

They say follow your heart but if my heart is in a million pieces which piece do I follow?

6 months. It had been six months since he left you alone. He had found another whole away filming and you knew it by the way he came back to you. He didn't have the same look in his eyes as he did when he left. The enthusiasm was gone as well and it was over long before he admitted it. He tried to get himself to love you again but he just didn't. He couldn't take his mind off the other he'd found.

And when he left you on his doorstep like mud it broke your heart, you hadn't left your apartment and it felt like you would never leave it again. You couldn't get up to eat or even use the bathroom even if you needed to. You had dark circles under your eyes and your throat was sore from crying all the time. Your mind was always blank, never a thing happening.

When your doorbell rang one late morning you were confused and got up immediately despite the soreness taking over your body. The doorbell sounded again and you sped over to your door. You opened it up and you were met with the familiar honey brown eyes that left you six months ago.

"What do you want?", You hissed, your words cold and harsh.

"I made a mistake", He answered

"That's your fault. Not mine."

"I realized how hard life is without you"

"No. You realized what a mistake you made and convinced yourself you still love me. You don't. I know you don't because of the look in your eyes. I know you O'Brien. You would've kissed me as soon as you saw me but you didn't because you don't actually love me. Leave me alone now", you finished and closed the door in his face.
