[the outsiders]
~okay so this is not a dylan o'brien imagine. i wrote this when i read the outsiders and was very obsessed with it. i hope you guys don't mind but i was really proud of it and i hope you enjoy!~
Dallas Winston. Yep, you heard me. Dallas freakin' Winston.
He's the one who ruined my life by just simply existing. It's like he can't even go two seconds without insulting or making some kind of remark. And to make things worse, the gang just laughs along or helps out. Of course I'd never tell them I was actually hurt by it. I always just say "I'm fine"or try and laugh.
But it truly does get under my skin sometimes. Like one time, Dallas just straight-up called me "The worst" and I got so hurt (I don't even know why). I just shook my head left. When I got home I punched about three holes in my bedroom wall. My mom about had a heart attack when she saw me so upset. I wasn't allowed to be around the gang for two weeks after that.
But it only made the insulting worse. Dallas just couldn't handle the fact that I was a person and that I lived and breathed like him. But anyways today I'm going to the Curtis house because I have nothing else to do. Maybe Dallas will be there, maybe he won't. Who cares amiright?
[newsflash: dallas was there. big shocker!]
I walked up to the Curtis house, my head high since I haven't been there in a while. When I walked in, Steve was the first one to run over and give me a big hug, despite us not being close.
"Y/N!! You're here! Oh my golly you won't even believe what we're doin tonight baby", Steve practically yelled.
I gave him a look, "What are y'all doin tonight, huh?"
Steve grinned real big, "We're goin into them Soc neighborhoods"
"And we're trashing the place", I heard a voice add.
I knew the voice, and I ignored it. 'Till he rounded the corner and grinned at me. I scowled back at Dallas and turned my attention back to Steve.
"Don't say 'y'all' like you ain't comin' with us baby", Steve nudged me.
"My mom said I can't be gettin' into no more trouble with y'all 'heathens'", I joked.
He grinned real big again.
"For one night and one night only, Johnny Cade will be riskin his innocence for some FUN", Two-Bit shouted, with a little Johnnycakes right behind him, both they're faces held big and pretty grins.
I smiled, and went over to question them.
"And you're not forcing Johnnycakes to do this?"
Two-Bit nodded, which I took as a sign as he was trying his hardest not to let out the loud cackle that was brewing up inside his throat.
And then he did.
After he was finished Ponyboy came from his room with a book in his hands.
"Well of course, this night wouldn't be complete unless we have Darry comin' along, so where is Superman anyways?" I asked aloud.
"He told us he ain't comin', doll", Dally said.
I rolled my eyes and turned to face him, even though he was on the couch.
"Honest, he told us he was gonna bail us out when we get caught"
"If we get caught", I corrected him.
And with that Dally smiled, yes, Dallas Winston actually smiled.
••••••
Now, I never specifically agreed to trash the Soc neighborhoods, but I did come along for the thrill.
