Wild (adjective): Uncontrolled or unrestrained.

"So what's up with Henry?" I hear Ron ask someone. I try to fall back asleep, but their conversation interests me so I perk up, pretending to be asleep.

"I don't know, but he has taken a liking to Miss Madelyn." Jamison responds, his voice not unkind.

"You think...?" Ron asks.

"No, she's probably just playing hard to get, and for now he's interested in the chase." Jamison responds.

"Because him basically killing you for hurting Madelyn is a normal reaction for a guy who just wants to sleep with a girl." Ron says sarcastically.

"He's Henry." Jamison says like that explains everything.

Once they've been quiet for a few minutes I sit up. My head spins and I put my hands on the floor to steady myself.

"Go tell him that she's awake." Ron tells Jamison. Jamison gets up and runs toward the upper deck. "You okay?" Ron asks.

"Do I..." I have to stop as the spinning in my brain starts up again. "Do I look okay?"

"Sarcastic as ever, I see." Ron tells me nodding at me as he takes a sip of beer or something like that. I stand up. "Woah, woah, don't do that."

"I need to get out of here." I tell him, a sudden wave of confusion coming over me.

"Madelyn, stop." Ron stands up as I walk away from him. I am intercepted when I walk into someone. "I was trying to stop her..." Ron tries to explain himself.

"Madelyn?" Henry looks down at me.

"Everything hurts, just let me go." I tell him feeling disoriented, uneasy and frightened.

"Go where, Madelyn?" Henry asks me gently.

"I don't know!" I scream, frustrated, and just about ready to force Henry out of my way.

"Do you want to lie down?" Henry asks me.

"Get away from me." I tell him backing up.

"Okay." Henry holds his hands up slightly and takes a step back.

I sigh. "I'm going to..." I pause.

"...lay down?" Henry asks.

"No." I refuse. I am not tired, I am actually very nauseous.

Henry looks like he wants to say something, but I'm still mad at him from yesterday, even if he looks really innocent asleep.

I walk across the deck and lean over the edge before throwing up. It was more like dry heaving since I hadn't eaten anything all day. After the wave of nausea ebbs, I start to think about the conversation I overheard earlier between Ron and Jamison. Do they think that Henry is actually interested in me? I actually laugh at the thought. Henry is not interested in me, he is not trying to sleep with me. My personality has always been my best form of birth control and I have no doubts that it would fail me now. Maybe Henry wants an ally. That would make sense. We can be allies; after all, I almost killed him so I guess that it would be in his best interest to be on my good side.

"Lady Madelyn?" Henry asks from behind me.

"This is she." I tell him.

"How's your head?" He asks me.

"Throbbing." I tell him, my emotional state is gone, and I'm starting to feel a bit more like myself.

"How did you sleep last night?" He asks, not looking at me.
